Made one just like it. I had the same issue as you, couldn't find a Schrader terminated hose. I'm an HVAC guy by trade, realized I had the perfect solution hanging right in front of me, a refrigerant manifold hose. I have lots of older ones. Sacrificed one for my cause and was able to adapt it to my pipe "reservoir". Worked fine. Really needed this setup not just for cleaning injectors, but for moving a minivan with a bad fuel pump. Works great for both uses and saves money over buying the OTC tools one!

Nice Foxboss, Wish I had found your video before I sent for a cleaning unit. I made something similar to fill with TPMS devices (what a stupid invention) still working on that one. Anyway what I'd like to add that might help some Ford owners is : On the 06 Explorer 4.0 you have to disconnect the emergency fuel cut-off switch located in the passenger front side panel. I found that removing the fuse or fuel relay will also disable power to the injectors, the engine won't turn over.

Thank you for the information, I got a Bell reducer for my setup on the pipe , it has a low place where you put your fittings and it eliminates the need for grinding the notches in the fitting, not knocking your video it's great and got me headed in the right direction us Horrodders have to stick together. I did this, but I used the gauge, as well as the hose from my fuel pressure tester so I could monitor the pressure at the unit. It was about 10 lbs less at the canister than at the regulator. The only problem was finding a tap for 1/8" npt. I had to buy a whole set from O'Reilly's. I also used Teflon tape on the end caps to keep it from leaking.

Why are you doing this, are you DUMB?? Your car has a pump to pressureze use it, and you can drop the cleaner inside your tank, use it. I thing your problem is your brain.use it too.. Rusky.

You have to use a pipe thread tap for the fitting. It’s got a tapered thread.

Very good idea....your like me why buy something your going to use once in your life time unless it's some very special tooling. I'm brain storming the very same idea with the 2 inch pipe also. Teflon pipe tape at both ends and gauges. ....now I know it will work. Get ready Windstar your in for a kick ass clean up. lol

those air fittings a 1/4 pipe thread, so you need a 1/4" NPT tap for the threads. Also harbor freight has cheap air regulators to adjust pressure with a gauge for less than $10.

1 part cleaner to 2 parts fuel, or 1/3 the canister full with cleaner and 2/3 fuel.

another guy on youtube shows how you can replace the compressor with a pressurized can of injector cleaner, will provide enough pressure to do this.

I would buy the bg brand fuel injector cleaner which goes into that small tank and the other can that comes with it goes in the gas tank but thats pretty cool how u just made it lol

The car has been sitting for a while I was able to keep it on but it was because I was spraying starter fluid in the intake.

feeding the cleaner in using Low air pressure ensures the engine uses all that it can as to stay running. To be extra sure you can pull vacuum line off the pressure regulator as to default to maximum feed pressure to injectors..

Stay a couple lbs under running pressure on your vehicle... If for example your vehicle runs at 55psi, set your pressure for 52-53 psi and it will not return any of the product to the tank...

is the air fitting a 1/4" npt barb?

mark reeves you can buy the size you need for whatever size hose you are using.. 1/4, 5/16, 3/8 etc.. Just make sure to buy/have the same size hose as well..

Most likely, as long as it can maintain about 35-45 lbs of pressure(no more though)It should work fine.
