Makinaryas is one of the remotest village in the Municipality of Godod, Zamboanga del Norte. Situated more than 700 meters above minimum sea level, it is presents special challenges for its people and us, health workers.
Makinaryas is the first geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas that I have served during my first year as the municipal health officer of our town.
I have seen so much poverty and sickness among its people. Little by little, we are changing their lives through consistent basic health services delivery.
