I still cannot believe that this revival was not recorded. Amazing vocals throughout, stellar cast and the "She Wasn't You (Reprise)" is worth the ticket price alone. Gorgeous.

The orchestrations and arrangements were fantastic. Many bigger flops were recorded!
I went to see this for my birthday..it was so beautiful.and then met the cast afterwards.they we're so beautiful!!!
Jessie is a once in a generation talent
Jessie is so beautiful 😍
I loved the show, and I wish there were more clips, especially "Love With All the Trimmings" done on a guitar.
Loved the orchestrations and vocal arrangements in this production. Wish they'd recorded it. Do you have "Love With All The Trimmings?" Drew Gehling really did that song well.
I want this full show! also I want to live in this set

We loved it - but whether you loved or hated the book update, the music was fantastic.

I haven't seen this version, but it seems that "What Did I Have That I Don't Have" just doesn't make sense if the Dr. Isn't gay. He does say "except for the obvious anatomical differences", but that really doesn't take care of the problem. It they're going to change it, they need to think of these things. That's probably part of the reason it ran for only a little over a month.

The book was a mess and it made no sense to "update" it to 1970.....and make it a manifesto on same-sex marriage, which was not on anyone's mind 50 years ago. There was no reason to change the gender and it gave Mueller less stage time which was a mistake. They also cut Go To Sleep...which made me very curious because it was listed in the Playbill but unlike here I believe it was Mueller's number. Connick sounded wonderful but was a bit stiff.
Do you have the full show?

They used other Lerner and Lane songs including some of the 1952 movie Royal Wedding
What a voice.....Am I a bad person to say that I would have liked to see Jessie play Daisy AND Melinda? Not homophobic just loving her talent.
Is Kristin Chenoweth in this?

She did Hurry it’s lovely up here for one song set in a concert :)
A gallant try, but it would have been cooler if they'd stuck closer to the original. They still could have had a man be the reincarnation of Melinda.
A good example of how to mess up a ravishing original score by messing with it. The "update" doesn't work on so many levels. Not the fault of the performers--well, Harry is pretty stiff. Listen to the original cast recording with Barbara Harris and John Cullumand the lush orchestrations and vocals.

I couldn't disagree more. The new orchestrations are great - especially the new arrangements of the "Royal Wedding" songs. The new version of "Too Late Now" is a revelation - so much better than the Jane Powell version. And "Every Night at Seven" is fantastic!

@@boink345 yeah but those songs have nothing to do with the show. They are stuck in to fit the new plot--which is pretty silly and showing a gay man working in a florist shop and a bit queeny--how not original--and are not organic to the score. So I guess we both disagree.

@@peteralfano4278 So many people hate the revised book that they can't accept that a bad show can have a great score. The "Royal Wedding" songs were nicely interpolated, I think - but that's not the point. Just listening to the music by itself shows it to be a wonderful interpretation, regardless of what you think of the book.
