Trains would be better for that. The cool thing about cars is that you can actually take them and drive them over more than just roads. If you make cars that are completely dependent on roads and that can't be independently driven, then you just have small shitty trains. Plus it would be expensive as hell, since the wheels in this video aren't, and don't need to be, attached to an engine, but if you want cars to be moving, you'd have to make sure you can transmit power to every wheel on the road at the exact moment a car goes over it
