OMPHOBBY M7 | Build Video

Ғылым және технология

Join me as I build my new OMPHOBBY M7 "Sunset Orange".
A thoroughly enjoyable and easy build with the same OMP quality you know and love.
Thanks to Sennheiser (not sponsored) for their excellent "XS-Lav" USB-C lavalier microphone. The audio quality is always so much better when I use it, which I did for most of this video.
And huge thanks to @TheRelaxedMovement on KZread for their royalty free, copyright free music which makes this video considerably less painful to watch.

Disclaimer:
This is NOT a full build tutorial video. It does not contain every step and every detail involved in the build of the M7 helicopter. This build video is intended mainly as a general build walkthrough and general interest content. Due to the fact that this build was performed with a pre-production kit with some parts that differ slightly from the production version and without an official build manual to follow, as well as being built intentionally out of order in some places for varying reasons, the build shown will not perfectly reflect the parts and kit you receive, and I do not recommend you follow this video perfectly when it comes to building your own new M7. Always consult the latest version of the official OMPHOBBY M7 manual for complete build instruction and advice to make your M7 build a smooth sailing experience.

It's a great heli! I flew it 28 times while at RCHO's Chillout event last weekend.

Are you going to keep your Tron 7.0 as well, or are you taking the electronics from that to the M7?

I really can't afford two 700s at the moment, so the electronics are coming off of my Tron. :)

@@BladeScraper yeah man, I get it. It's expensive to build and maintain 700 size machines. Regardless, I'm looking forward to the build, your thoughts and impressions of the M7.

FANTASTIC build video!! Most professional use of blue loctite I've ever seen and I've been building/flying helis since 1987!! LOVE how snug all the bearings fit in their housings and the overall quality, fit and finish of the parts looks to be OUTSTANDING!! CAN'T WAIT to get my kit!! Thanks for posting this so I can whet my M7 appetite until my kit arrives!! 🙂

What was the airframe weight ?

  • @BladeScraper

Approx 2225g. You'd drop 40g or so by using the carbon boom.
