Back in the day when I was flying all the time and involved with our local club ... the trick we used was to take a pair of pliers and just very lightly squeeze the ball-link while it is on the ball ... then test it to see if it feels slightly looser ... you don't want to overdo it ... that's all it takes. Just be careful not to squeeze too hard, less is more, you can always do it a second, third ... time.

Have you tried a simpler method? In such cases, I don't pop off the link, but I just squeeze it a little with smooth pliers (like Knipex 3522115), check the stiffness, then gradually increase force and check again. Repeat till stiffness is OK. I didn't have to do it on my M2, but on my Raw 580 it worked very well. BTW to make the link smaller, I put it into hot water, then cold water. Also works :)

yo I stumbled upon your channel while doing research. I got a quick question, have you had issues with being pulled over while riding your surrons/talaria? I plan on getting a bike and registering it but I also see tons of people commuting with no plates or anything. What do you think?

PEOPLE...Don't follow this advice! Here's why.. OKAY...Found you again. Yes, my linkage was RIDICULOUSLY tight as well. SO...Followed your dopey advice. Removed the ball link from the blade grip, then went to take the one off the swashplate, and the stud snapped! Now, YOU go and try to find an OMP swashplate right now. Unless you're willing to pay almost double for a Micro heli swash, yer not gonna find one too easily. After messing around with various polishes, and even some oil, with my 1.5mm Allen bit in my drill, going in to the ball joint to spin it in the link, I finally realized I was wasting my time. Long and short of it, I DID do the age old trick we used to do in the R/C car world, of a light squeeze with the pliers on the link while on the ball and that did it, first time, no problem. Loosened them up perfectly. So, The balls I'd ordered form some shop in California (I'm in Florida) that took 8 days to come, of course don't fit, (wrong thread for the bottom of swash, would try them on the top balls, but I'M NOT unscrewing ANYTHING I don't have to on this thing now!) so I ordered a plastic swash from AMain JUST for the damned ball. Idunno how much of your time you wasted doing it that way, but I have only 3 flights on my heli before I decided to "Make your mod". big mistake. JUST USE PLIERS! lol
