I believe the reason that it was done that way was solely because it would feel out of place in the main art style. After all, most of the standard art is pencil sketches, so to go from pencil sketches to clay animation is... Jarring, in most cases.

I like the motifs each of these have going on... Acrophobia has this constant drone that falls as the song goes... Arachnophobia has this skittering sort of scratch that plays, as if to emulate the crawling of spiders... And Thalassophobia has less of a motif, and more of an ever-present effect in the form of muffled, warbling sound, like you were underwater.

actually given how seamlessly they blend together, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the original track and it got split into three segments

Yea, but still it doesn't fit with what vibe the game is exactly looking for. OMORI is psychological horror, and while these songs sped up are still pretty intense and scary to some extent, they'd fit better in a game that's supposed to have intense chasing parts and music, like Doors, Hello Neigbor, orher mascot horror games, etc.

Out of canon, same reason as the first, but also they probably couldn’t figure out how to fit it in game. It makes sense why it was scrapped.

They are really good but somehow still retain some kind of creepy tone to them

i realized For the Acrophobia scene, it looks like the stairs both go up and down. SOMETHING at the bottom of the stairs represents Mari falling, and most likely reaching er hand out desperately trying to grab onto anything. SOMETHING at the top of the stairs represents Sunny pushing her. It looks like the representation of what she last saw before she died on the stairs when she got pushed, because of the hands. The hands in game are all the same side, and it’s probably the hand sunny used to push Mari down

@@eeeecca I think its in reference to a sort of point of view illusion. It does look like you could either be at the top or bottom of the stairs. Something something lack of visual indicators leave it up to interpretation

update: they agreed to guess the song or what its from they dont know anything about omori time to truly traumatize them

Acrophobia even has that crunchy ringing in the ears effect you get from vertigo.

Sunny's neighbors are so lucky to hear these bangers

I like how in every phobia you can hear something "related" to it: Acrophobia: The fear of high places, you can constantly a sound of something falling, and the entire song have somekind of anxiety feeling on it. Arachnophobia: Fear of spiders, sounds eerie, fuzzy, scary, just like spiders. And you can hear some clicks on your ears, like there are spiders climbing on you. Thalassophobia: Obviously enough, sounds like water, like you're drowning and desperately trying to go up to get some air. And you can't hear much of the instrumental till the end that seens you managed to reach the surface.

It maybe a banger but it still gives me chills

They did something really genius with the music here, the songs represent the fears. The acrophobia one gives off the feeling that you’re falling from a high place (or stairs-), the arachnophobia one makes you feel like there’s a ton to tiny little spiders running around you, and the thalassophobia one sounds like you are underwater and unable to swim up to the surface as you slowly sink deeper and deeper Edit: Forgot to add the fact that the beat sounds like a heartbeat, as if your heart is going a mile a minute (as if Sunny’s fears are your own)

i love the small unique elements to each themes, like the cartoonish falling sound effect for acrophobia, the screeching(?) of what could be insects struggling in a spider's web for arachnophobia (it's almost melodic), and the underwater sound effects that sounds like someone struggling or being submerged in water for thalassophobia. Really cool shit

In Acrophobia, you can trick yourself into thinking you're hearing someone screaming as they *fall* beside your window. Now talk about Oyasumi.
