It's really interesting how *Omori's* emotions can range wildly, being the most emotive of the entire cast, but the real-world counterpart, *Sunny,* only can have 1 level of any. I like how it may by lore emphasise how Omori is a sort of mental filter or defence for Sunny.

I like because Omori is unbalanced kind of crazy so he feels up to three levels of emotion Meanwhile, sunny is too neutral to experience more than one level And then the real world friends can experience the third level of each emotion that corresponds to them, because they indulged in them too much after Mari Reverie sunny can experience the regular two because he healed after the events of the first game And then we got basil, who in the real world and headspace is just as imbalanced as omori letting him go up to three emotions on both

Sunny can sometimes feel stage 2 emotions (I think in certain parties) but sometimes only stage 1 emotions like depressed or ecstatic

No Mari emotion making her look like Something is a missed opportunity. Like, third level of angry would work.

*SPOILERS* A cool detail is the emotions of a character often correspond with how they felt after maris death: Hero became depressed, and so he has the 3rd level of sad, Aubrey has furious, representing her anger, Kel can go up to manic, showing his acceptance of her death (not to say that he doesn’t have trauma), and Sunny has only level one emotions, showing how he repressed his emotions and become totally neutral. Pretty neat!

I luv how omori is able to experience all three stages of effect in the original emotions along with the character that's associated with it.

my fav emotions for omori are manic, miserable, and furious idk why but they all look like some sort of bossfight faces to me

Maybe the main reasons that Sunny looks angry when disgusted is that it probably has smth to do with Mari. Maybe she would be angry when she was disgusted, since she was a bit of a perfectionist. Maybe Sunny took that emotion for himself.

FUN FACT: This is the first OMORI video I watched, and this was when I knew nothing about the characters and plot. So, I assumed that the mod emotions were actually in the game, but looking back I am now a bit sad these emotions aren't in the original. REAL WORLD emotions are so good! I like how SUNNY only feels the first stage of emotion. And for original three emotions, only KEL can feel MANIC, only AUBREY can feel FURIOUS, and only HERO can feel MISERABLE. It's a nice touch since it fits their character the most after MARI's death; KEL moved on and kept most of his cheery self, HERO just became sad, and AUBREY became a delinquent and quite mad.

its sad to see that Basil shares a lot of emotional effects like Omori/sunny...

spoilers probably has been commented already, but i noticed that only the person who dealt with maris death a certain way (anger, sadness, happiness) can experience that certain emotion in the third tier. For example, Kel is happy, Aubrey is angry, and Hero is sad, and only Kel can become manic in the real world- only Aubrey can become furious in the real world and only Hero can become miserable in the real world aswell. it's a nice detail, even if it's easy to notice.
