This masterpiece was all about the iconic role played by Saif Ali Khan as Langda Tyagi. He overshadowed everyone, including the mighty Ajay Devgn.

@@Prasen1729 He's not exaggerating anything. Ajay did a great job, no one's disputing that. But Saif's performance easily blew everyone right outta the water. He quite literally stole the show and carried the whole thing on his back. Omkara is widely known as Saif's magnum opus, not Ajay's. This movie belongs to Saif through and through.

@@princesmith8008 When I watched this movie in 2006 Saif was considered as a B grade actor with many flops. He was the first actor who was trolled for national award in 2004. It was only media hype created by saif for omkara Otherwise who will spend money for his movies

This film is named after Ajay's character but the whole film is owned by Saif with his brilliant performance

Same with the original play! It's called Othello, but Iago (Langda) is the one with the most dialogue, monologues and incredible moments in the play. Some see him as the true protagonist.

This movie is a masterpiece of Indian cinema - bar raising performances from so many actors, but Saif as Langda was the best. Definitely his career best

Ajay devgan is another level..just a master piece...his eyes his acting skiils

Saif was brilliant and Ajay was terrific..but the showstealer has to be the performance of Deepak Dobriyal..Among the cluster of phenomenal performances by star actors, he is the one who nailed his character to the minute perfection. The way he reminds Langda about his weakness.... drinks and looks ahead...his eyes said it all...anger...heartbreak and revenge. Infact, Each and every frame of the movie is poetic...be it acting, dialogues, direction, camerawork...but it's the background score that adds so much depth and layer..Vishal sir created an awesome script and nailed the opportunity with top notch direction. ..A masterpiece of our generation and a groundbreaking movie made on the true international parameters.

It proofs if u hv a right story (obviously Shakespeare's here) & sharp-eyed director (multi talented Vishal Bhardwaj) then u hv a memorable & award wining performances from ur actors, here Saif Ali Khan with subtle yet effective delivery (12:10) Remarkable movie & a great scene

Vishal Bhardwaj has a fantabulous contribution to Bollywood based on Shakespeare: Othello (Omkara), Mackbeth (maqbool) and Hamlet (Haider)... a few but very fine movies sir....applause..

One of best opening scenes in history of Bollywood movies. Actor, writer, director, who not. Everyone nailed it.

Those eyes do better acting than a lot of today's upcoming actors

PVR Movies, Hyderabad, tickets were off the shelf. I wasn't expecting much. OMKARA..... yet another phool aur kaante..... As I watched the movie, lightning stuck me, Saif said chavanni ke khujre, dekhle...ek aur mauka detao. As I watched the whole movie Dumbstuck....walked out of multiplex, and Poster Dekha. ......Start this movie till Taandav, I don't miss Saif. He left the OLE OLE to us and moved up 👍😀

Every character - Omkara, Langda Tyagi, Kesu Firangi, Dolly....was written so perfectly and enacted by wonderful actors like Ajay Devgan, Saif, Vivek Oberoi and Kareena Kapoor. But the character of Rajju (Deepak Dobriyal) was the one who entangled everyone in his web of lies, heartbreak and revenge. DD played the character so perfectly that it was him who actually stole the limelight right from under the noses of every major actor. Hats off to his talent (after all he is an NSD alumnus)😊
