Hey, it's happened! I was able to wait

when wife mv was just released i didn't understand a thing - was simply vibing in confusion, but thought that there's definitely a statement hidden there. and i was right - after reading lyrics translation and looking closely at some details i understood the message and once again was in awe of soyeon's genius and in the end wife became one of my most favorite songs of i-dle 😂 it's very catchy, the beat is simple but is urging you to give yourself to the rhythm, lyrics are funny at the first glance, but also very provocative yet the meaning is hidden by metaphors and the meaning is powerful. + they all look so good in those wigs 😭🩵

rsrs, I don't have it showing if a comment has been posted... but this footage 8:17 has a very cool idea Minnie is Medusa and is on a circle that looks like a shield. Soyeon is Athena. according to legend, Medusa was Athena's slave. Medusa was raped by Poseidon precisely in Athena's temple. Medusa's life was miserable. Also, Athena cursed Medusa to become a snake and banished her from the temple. Poseidon eventually decapitated her and placed her head on a shield(Minnie is on a circle that looks like a shield, hence why she is Medusa. There was also a moment in the clip where Soyeon was wearing Athena's helmet). In the clip they show Soyeon and Minnie hugging the statue of Poseidon and it explodes. Most likely the girls wanted to show female friendship/solidarity and that no man is worth such humiliation and disagreements as Athena and Medusa were having Oh, this MV can be taken apart piece by piece

You asked what we think of "wife" and... to be completely honest, I didn't really like it. That's not to say it's not good. It's obviously super catchy. It's also cute and funny. It's just not my style. It's not for me... the thing that gets me is that I'm not really sure who it is for. I'm not in the target audience, and I'm not sure who the target audience is. I think, at it's core, is some idea that Soyeon felt she really needed to express in her art and that for some reason I just don't get it. Super Lady is much more my style and, unlike "Wife," I would put it on a playlist and listen to it often. Additional note about the Super Lady video: They way they styled themselves (hair, outfits, makeup) made it somewhat challenging for me to identify the members as they came onto the screen at first. They seemed to really be changing things up. Yuqi was styled to resemble Cruella Deville (from 101 Dalmations).

I totally understand for wife ! It’s also not a song i would listen to on a daily basis ! But it is super catchy ! Super lady i really liked it it gives me energy boost and they all looked amazing !!
