More like JAMMIN that sounds smother than silk.
Shawn & Mel, you'll love George's "Turn Your Love Around", "On Broadway" and This Masquerade"!!!
George Benson, YES!!!! Please more! “Masquerade”, “Love X Love”, “Turn Your Love Around” ❤️❤️❤️❤️ By the way, how great to see Carlos Santana playing with George!!! 🔥
Santana's "Abraxas" is 100%. Benson's "On Broadway" and "Masquerade" are as well. Never heard then jam together. Thanks!!! Outstanding!

Leon Russell should be mentioned every single time someone covers his songs (This Masquerade). Unfortunately, it is rare.
George is a legend
I love this song! It’s one of those, outside grillin on a hot evening by a tropical pool just chillin!🥰
Carlos Santana has his own band he is just jamming with George Benson!!!✌✌✌ great music, Carlos Santana fainted on stage, when he was doing a show!! at a Separate show!
Breezin was great with just Benson's guitar. Adding Carlos for this performance? Stupendous.
Loved reaction. Must check out On Broadway by Benson.
Wow! Never saw this collaboration before!
Two masters at work!!👍🏻👍🏻✌✌
Ohhh man, they make it look so easy. Effortless. Beautiful. O.M.G !!!!🎸🎸🎙🎵🎼❤😎🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇸
George Benson is THE MAN!
George Benson and Carlos Santana. Wow..too greats that have contributed so very much to the music industry. So very nice to see them playing together live. I love listening to them both. George Benson can easily turn to the incredible HULK on that jazz guitar and can deliver ferocious vocals in a breeze. Definitely two of my favorites. Thanks for posting
my favorite and beautiful family no KZread right now sweet
Once again, excellent choice guys. Love this song
Two legend guitarists🥰 And... you must take a listen to: Santana's Samba Para Tí and Benson's On Broadway.
George Benson is a great guitarist, singer & songwriter. He began his professional career at the age of 19 as a jazz guitarist. He covers different genres or styles such as jazz, pop, R&B & scat singing. His Breezin' album was one of the biggest selling of all time. He has such a smooth mellow voice. He has had so many great hits both singing & instrumental such as "This Masquerade", "On Broadway," "Breezin'", "The Greatest Love Of All", "Love All The Hurt Away," "Turn Your Love Around," "Inside Love," "Lady Love Me," "20/20," "Shiver," "Kisses In The Moonlight", "Affirmation" etc.
Breezin' came out in 1976 and it was the "bridge" to the jazz genre for me. I believe it ws dubbed "smooth jazz" at the time. As good a guitarist as Gerore Benson is..... listen to Carlos tear this song up. Carlos is as good as it gets on guitar.
Such a chill vibe. We all need some chill in our lives 😎✌️🥂🍾
George Benson one of the Great Underrated Guitar players of all time... If you don't have Carlos Santana in you top 10, I want to see your list...
I love this,,had no clue it was by these two…love George Benson
Grew up on Carlos & George Benson, my dad loved it all. These 2 together was amazing.
If there is a man smoother than George Benson I want to see it, Thanks for posting I forgot how great this was! Santana has a song called Samba Pa Ti (live versions are awesome) which he used the main theme from this song for part of it. He must have loved this song. George owns that fretboard like few who play but he is a jazz master so his audience was more limited than the rocker guys.
Ah ... George Benson. Like getting a dose of pure oxygen.
Love this. Two great talents. The album this song was on was the go home after last call from the bar... and pour one more to unwind soundtrack to my youth. George Benson's version of "this masquerade" is my favorite and when he scats along with the guitar it's fabulous.
How I miss the sounds of the 70's, specially George Benson. Here in tropical North Queensland, they used to play this lots in between the bands at the beer garden on a lazy, sunny afternoon. Nothing like listening to such beautiful music, lapping up the sunshine and cool sea breezes 🌞🍃💗
Carlos Santana is taking time off✌✌
That kind of talent has to be in your DNA...These guys have it...
Guy's, the song with Benson and Earl Klugh is Dreamin'.
That was a 10 out of a 10! I agree with Jacqueline, all the George Benson you can play! There is this really lovely one he did called "Turn on the Lamplight", it wasn't a big hit like his other songs but it is so beautiful. I could listen to over and over. It is probably one of the most romantic songs I have ever heard!
Benson is a jazz master. Great singer, too. BTW, Mel is looking fly with the blonde highlights!!!
My memory was jogged back to Summer evenings i the 70's driving down the freeway and blasting this music. Pure magic !!
Hi Shawn and Mel! And yes, you definitely have to react to more Carlos Santana and George Benson! Santana actually was at Woodstock and performed his song Soul Sacrifice and there is a video. It was after that performance he was signed to a record deal. And the rest is history! Both he and Benson have collaborated with a bunch of different artists. Santana and Earth Wind and Fire toured together in 75 and are currently on tour. Santana and Benson have deep catalogs of music. Check out Smooth by Santana featuring Rob Thomas and Maria, Maria featuring The Product. Also check out Benson's collaboration with Earl Klugh. And Give Me the Night with George roller skating with people in a park and playing the guitar. It's amazing! Good to see you guys!
We love George Benson here in Pittsburgh...he's a local Hill District guy made good. Had the chance to see him live only once. If you get the chance, DO IT!
Three great players ..bass was excellent also
No words required 😍 George & Carlos doing their magic 🎸🎸💎💎💗💗 I’ll be listening to them all day now ! You’ ll love On Broadway 💕
Nice! Never seen this one. Wow…two giants in the guitar world. Benson is the epitome of class! That was awesome.
Excellent with a capital X!!! Love these guys anyway but have never seen this perfect performance from 2 of the best talents in music
George Benson by himself is a phenomenal guitarist. Check out his album Breezin' from 1976. You will love it. It contains the studio version of this song and other great tracks.
My first time to hear this. A storm is coming in and I wasn't in a good mood but this took all my anxiety away. Among musicians Carlos was kind of a legend before he made his first album. I don't know Benson's history, with his smooth jazz he too often becomes back ground music as you work. I like listening to jazz or classical as I write, words get in the way. My brother turned me into jazz. He worked at the "Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society." It was a private club where the jazz musicians would jam after their regular concerts in the city. Jazz is best played impromptu. That is how talented and practiced these guys or gals are, so bored at doing their signature songs which (very few of us could do if we tried) they love to get with fellow artists and have some old fashioned fun at creating something new. This is what you just witnessed on this video. Great creativity ar work. Magical.
Saw him over 40 years ago in Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺, one of the greatest Jazz performers ever.
So great together! That's George's song, and they're just jamming together on this one. I remember watching this on The Midnight Special! Great memories! Thanks for the great reaction! 💙✌

I remember that too!
I once did a walk -a thon. While walking I had this jem on repeat. Other people smiled as I walked by. I'm sure enjoying the music too.
Beautiful. What a great collaboration! Carlos Santana was at Woodstock, so he’s been a star for a long time.
Nice!!
Thank you for this video I'm a big Carlos Santana fan if I'm a huge fan of George Benson I need y'all to check out the whole Breezin' album the whole album is awesome but one of my favorite tunes on that album is called so this is Love it's track five y'all will enjoy the whole album including that song
Another great George Benson hit is Give Me the Night.
Love it!
Seeing these two legends together is fanfreakingtastic! I didn't know they had performed together. Thank you so much for posting this!
What a magnificent jam session!!
Santana was at Woodstock in 1969.
Please listen to This masquerade classic George Benson's best work in my humble opinion.. like the other comments said you guys will absolutely love it 💯 The suggestions of ON BROADWAY AND TURN YOUR LOVE AROUND ARE ALSO RIGHT ON POINT. GOOD STUFF GUYS KEEP ON KEEPING ON 👌
love you mel and shawn ❤💓💗
This is the kind of song I'd play cruising the backroads of the foothills in Central California, Bay Area, or the Sierra Nevada's in one of my Mustangs back in the day! Love both of them.
Two masters of their guitars 🎸
I had never seen this Midnight Special appearance before. Thank you!
Fantastic! While I know this song, I didn’t know of this collaboration. You have to compliment this with “This Masquerade” by George Benson.
Masquerade is my absolutely favorite song from this time period. George Benson just takes me right back to that hotel bar dancing to a live band. 💕

Masquerade is better by....Karen Carpenter
Weekend in LA ,one my favorites
Wow ! Brings me back when life was simple hanging out on the boardwalk with my best friends scouting out the hot guys or gals. Summer love, great music and memories. Blessings to you and your family.
George Benson, are you kidding me! The man has so much talent he cannot be contained by one song. And add Carlos Santana to the mix, look out. Fireworks from the guitars. George is from Pittsburgh, Pa. and Carlos is from across the USA in San Francisco, Ca. Not sure if he was born there but his band is based out of the City by The Bay. BTW, please no more adds during the songs. Before and after okay, but please not during,, it does ruin the vibe. Please.
Genuine times two ... More , please .
I had George's Breezin album back in the 70's, played the heck out of it
George Benson's song. He makes it sound so good. Carlos is Carlos great but George is also
Such a classic❤️❤️❤️
As well as the other sugestions by commenters by George, 'Nature Boy' off of 'Breezin' is fantastic. Carlos First and second albums are clasic gems. 60s and 70s music shone like no other time in history
Samba Pa Ti live in Mexico Santana incorporates Breezin at the end of the beautiful video
Amazing!! Never seen this!
WOW!!! I haven’t heard this song in decades. The talent on that stage was immeasurable! I am generally not a fan of instrumentals only but this is MAGIC. 🎶
Any wonder it's called breezin? It's just a sweet melody that puts you in a great mood. I bought the album first time I heard it. Such a great song.
Carlos had already been at Woodstock in 1969. He is a master guitarist when George came onto the scene, he was awesome!

George's first LP came out in 1964 on the Prestige label.
OH my gosh! where ya been --MISS YOU!
Welcome to the big leagues
A shout out to the bass player ...that man can also play..
Both men are accomplished guitarists. However, George is an accomplished singer.
hey mel and shawn!!❤❤❤ great to see you guys! hope all is well 🙏!! with the family how is finding a house going?✌out!!!❤❤❤
Gotta have Instrumental moments now and then. I love these guys!!!! Check out George Benson's "On Broadway" or "Masquerade." For Carlos Santana check out "Put Your Lights On" (anything really from the Supernatural album). Breezin' is a George Benson instrumental. For a soft Santana instrumental, check out "El Farol."
The group is called Santana. They played Woodstock. He's been around along time.
His song "Love Ballard" is so good
Carlos Santana played at Woodstock. His band is named Santana, he is lead guitarist.
George Benson's album BREEZIN" IMO is the greatest jazz instrumental album ever made.
This was so good that ABC sports used it as an intro in 1980.
I wouldt love to see y`all 2 react 2 "Europa" by Santana
Love this one as well. Both of them p,aged off one another. Look up Santana and rod Stewart another awesome video with rod s singing and Santana Tearing it up on the guitar
"Breezin'" was the very 🥇 first album that I bought in 1979. It is one of my all-time favorite records. It puts a 😊 smile on my face when I 🙉 hear or think about it. Amen.
They are a perfect pairing, two totally different guitar styles meshed together. If y'all like this type of thing, please check out SRV and W.C. Clark's (bassist) "Little Thing." Another perfect pairing is SRV & Albert King's "In Session" from Dec. 1983. No egos, no cutting heads, just mutual respect.
Wow! If you guys don’t know Carlos Santana, you need to know! Check out his “Oye Como va” “Black Magic Woman” or “Evil Ways”. Wait… There’s more to come! He is one of the hottest guitarist ever!
🎶🎶🔥🔥🔥🔥🎶🎶✔️
Ok U guys to do homework on Santana. He started in the late 60s with his original group then after a few years changed his style of music. Eventually he was on his own. His style changed so much but 2 awesome guitar players here.
Did y'all find a house 🏘️ yet??? I hope so 😊 bless you both and the kiddos ✌️
As much love this version, damn it would been awesome to see George Benson and Eric Gale play this together.. Eric Gale is 1 of the most underrated guitarist of all time.
We have Bobby Womack to thank for writing this piece.🎶 Here's a link to him playing it with what lyrics he could remember from back when he wrote it, but released it as an instrumental.👍 kzread.info/dash/bejne/k6GDx6WJeKTYn6g.html
Great homage to Gabor Szabo and Bobby Womak
Please react to my fave by him called Lady Love Me..I think you both will love it! Keep On Rockin'😊
