OMG is this thing going to start!? Raptor 700 Motor Part 10
Well, not really, but this video is less than 10 minutes! Spent some time loading in the motor and torquing just about every bolt to service manual spec! This Hot Rods crank is going to last forever!

    If you haven't already, follow me on instagram to see pics of the Raptor all done!!! And I know I know, the FB and insta tag is messed up in the beginning. Also, there is a thin film of anti-seize on the swingarm bolt!! I didn't film putting it on.

    Nice to see you get it up and running man I just sold my 2003 660 for two grand and bought an 04 660 with a 686 Big Bore Kit for 500 bucks it runs but when it gets warmed up it starts spitting and sputtering and dies out on me I'm hoping a new carburetor with a 686 jet kit will fix it may make a video on it but congrats on the Raptor project turned out nice you do good work bro

    Your videos are awesome and Thank you for taking the time to make them. Very educational and well edited. My only problem with the build is with all the internal upgrades you did you didn't do any work to the head, no larger throttle body, no full exhaust, and no intake? Seems like those internal upgrades are going to no use.

    Thanks so much for the love man. It is mostly because of money that I didnt do further upgrades. This quad was supposed to be a quick flip and turned into more of a project. I didnt want to cheap out on the piston but if I had more money for the build I would have done more.

    Im currently doing a rebuild on my 04 YFZ450 and when I put my cases back together my crankshaft is hard to turn by hand. In order for me to turn it smoothly I need to use a wrench with the right size nut on the end of my crankshaft. Is this normal? If not how do I make it so I am able to turn it by hand easily?

  • @MichaelSabo

    @MichaelSabo

    Well, definitely don't force it. I would start by making sure it isn't in gear and then make sure your counter balances are in correctly. It's possible your cases aren't seated right. It should spin freely in neutral.

    Michael Sabo my cases are in correctly and the engine is in neutral. I have a small gap on the right side of the crankshaft when your looking at it from the hole where the rod is suppose to sit. The gap on the right it bigger than the one on the left. Do you have any tips on making it even without separating the cases again?
