"Is this guy famous in Iceland?" - Reasonably. He narrowly lost out to Svala a few years back, a lot of people choosing the latter because she "sounded more like a Eurovision song", which left a lot of Daði supporters feeling like he got robbed (he has a strong support base). Looks like this is his chance. :) He's so much fun. Last concert I was at with him, he randomly broke out of his set into The Chicken Dance and tried to shame the audience into dancing along with it. ;) "NO, no, don't stand there pretending like you don't know the song!" ;) He's so adorkable.

"Is this guy really famous in Iceland?" Well, yes, but that's a relatively small feat compared with other countries. He gained national recognition when he was the runner-up for Iceland's Eurovision entry in 2017 and lost to the dreadfully generic Paper, performed by Svala. I'm happy this group is representing us this year. =)

This band is EVERYTHING!!! I love the mood, the sound, the message, no cheesy lines, pure poetry. OMG ❤️ And the dance moves 😂 Need to learn those moves 😂

Daði wrote this song around the same time he got his first child. She is now 4 months old :) So, when you read the lyrics again you can see that his song is just as beautiful as Iva's song. I absolutely loved Germany it’s over on eurovisionhub. I think Germany is going to do really well in the charts but I’m not sure if it will beat Lithuania or Iceland as people in Eurovision tend to like the quirky stuff more (Norway won the televote last year remember ) . But who knows only can wait and see :)

I totally agree. The only good songs so far this year are Lithuania, Germany, and Iceland in my opinion.

The song goes nice with performance, but take off performance and the song by it alone is... ehhh... not that one which i would listen in the car....
