OMG, I got my Argo Stuck
Ойын-сауық
Come along for a great Alaskan adventure. I accompanied a couple buddies on a trail ride that we thought would be a mud and wenchfest. Thanks to an unseasonably dry summer, the trial was in better condition that we had thought. That said, I managed to mess up and get my Argo struck: the first time I have ever managed work to get it out of a jam. Additionally, we visited a cabin that is under construction.

Argo needs to give a demo model. Your videos are the best selling tool for their product. After watching, you really want one.

I remember when you made the moose sausage. Time to reap the rewards and it looks great!

It really turned out exceptional. The ice bath was a game changer for us.
I would never see such wonderful stuff if not for you and your channel (we met on twitter!) 🙃 (Looked a great time and your home made sausage looked awesome)

That Argo is a beast! I want one! Funny how the three wheeler never got stuck! You don’t see many of those around still running anymore! Not sure if you could ever give any adventure its justice as you have to have fun too! Sometimes filming can get in the way! You caught enough and looks like you all had a great time! A better time since your Argo was there! And that was one beast of a sandwich too! 🤣

Thanks. So true how filming can get in the way. The recap at the truck was an afterthought, but when I was in post I was happy that I’d taken time to do the summary at the trailhead.

I can't remember the last time I saw a three wheeler. I thought they went extinct a long time ago.

@@RaisedinAlaska They are actually pretty nice. Light weight enough to man handle but not as stable as a four wheeler. The Argo does it all and very well, I might add. That's a great machine.

@@stevet8121 Exactly. He got the three wheeler “stuck”, but was able to get off and push it through the mud so I never had to pull it out. The Argo is a great, specialized machine: it’s not fast, but it will go just about anywhere.
You might want to look into a land anchor and a kinetic recovery rope. Both would have done wonders for you on that trip. Again big fan of the videos.

It is great country and I think there’s a fair amount of moose out there but they’re hard to hunt in this location.

@@RaisedinAlaska how do you get a signal for your phones in the middle of nowhere? I guess you put your travel plan out so somebody knows where your going?

@@cnlights2 I generally file a travel plan. Many of the places I travel do not have cell reception. I also carry an Inreach a lot of the time as well.

@@cnlights2 it’s kind of like a GPS but you can use the satellite to relay brief messages to people or request evacuation.
Hey man love the Argo! I noticed the Bigfoot painting on that one house. You ever encounter anything strange out there in Alaska?
@RaisedinAlaska
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. I’ve have strange events happen, but nothing that probably wasn’t my fault. I’ve not seen any unexplainable sign or creatures. That said, one time while winter camping in the Arctic, I had something right outside my tent. Laying in my cot listening to it walk around, and trying to figure out what it was, It make me think of a recent Bigfoot podcast I listen to. I never really thought it was a big foot, but I think I would’ve preferred that over a spring grizzly bear, which is what it most likely was.
The bugs are bad right now ! 😃

@@cnlights2 It was miles from the trail head to the cabin. Everything to build the cabin was brought in during the winter. I think some of it was brought in with snowmachine and toboggans and much was brought in by bigger machines traveling through the snow.
