One of life's greatest mysteries.

When I was watching this, my reactions were: "hahaha stupid cats." "look at that one jump. haha dumb cat." Then I became the typical female internet browser meme. :(

One of the best KZread channels. The longevity is so appreciated and it's been so cool to see these cats through the years.

I love it when they literally get so excited and exhausted from chasing stuff that they have to sit there and "pant" like a dog. You know they had a good time.

So CUTE! Mojo & Scout can't get enough of the laser pointer either and we even filmed them with it in slow motion. They're so funny.

I love this video , you captured the whole cat-laser pointer thing very well. My cats do the same things: Pant after running around. make clicking sounds when they see it on the ceiling, running in circles, and wall jumping. I've been living with cats for over 30 years and the laser pointer is the best cat toy ever! Good Job!

It is so funny at the beginning of the video how their mouths open and close rapidly. It must be some kind of a chaseing reflex. Outdoor cats do this when sneaking up on a lizzard or bird that they hope to catch. Adorable.

when my cat was younger he used to chase the lazer around, but as he got older he grew afraid of it. the last few times I tried to get him to play, he would take off in the other direction.

I love how accurately they do hit the "target" over and over again...

Fun video! Well done! The cats KNOW it is a game. And they love to play to get out those spurts of energy. Wish my 20 year old cat had the energy now; mostly she just sleeps and has meds to make her hungry and help her bodily functions...but she is happy and loved!

I've been wondering - is the panting thing okay? Because my cats do that after chasing the laser pointer for a while and I started to worry that they were hyperventilating or if they had a heart murmur or something! It only seems to happen with the laser pen, no other toys. So is that just because it gets them exceptionally excited? There's nothing to worry about?

I think you should just make a couple of robot arms that do random movements with the laser pointers. Those cats will just follow it until....well until they don't feel like it anymore.
