Purchased a blue 300m at my Omega boutique and jokingly asked about getting a Snoopy. They said they would put my name down and I didn’t really give it much thought. 4 months later I got the call and picked it up after work. That 300m was the only purchase history I had prior to the Snoopy. They also gave me a leather Omega 3-watch travel case, a bottle of cologne, a bracelet, and all kinds of other goodies for FREE. Just treat your sales reps kindly, be nice, and be patient, and they’ll take care of you!

The Silver Snoopy is now 4k over list price on the grey market. That premium seems to be much less costly than having to buy other list price Omega watches first in order to buy a Silver Snoopy…

I'm not averse to buying multiple watches while waiting for that call. But, I will not buy other watches for the specific purpose of playing some game. I'm a collector first and foremost, so only buy what I like and what fits in my collection. Any hint of playing the game of favouritism will have me exiting pretty quickly. Omega watches in general, are not at the same level of let's say Rolex and don't increase in value, rather depreciate like most other mid tier kit.

@@myklbllngsly € 4k over list price (retail), not 4k in total. 😂 € 16k on Chrono24, € 12k at Omega. So 13,7k and 10k in GBP.

Andy - I’ve had the same experience. They came through for me after a relatively short wait. The experience I’ve had in the London boutiques has always been absolutely first class. I have the same hopes as you for 2024. Reasonable sized watches, slimmer, and more refined bracelets!

It’s true. I purchased my Snoopy from Royal Exchange last year after a relatively short wait (a few months). Had purchased a new/old stock PO with Orange Ali bezel in 2019. Great service and definitely my go to for Omega products.

I can vouch to the validity of what the Omega rep said. I bought two Seamaster watches and not even a couple weeks after buying the second one, I received a call for the Snoopy. Then 3 weeks after that, I was offered the 321. The process is pretty transparent, unlike Rolex where you might buy something or get on the waitlist and nothing happens. Just my 2 cents.....

That’s the vibe I had. It’s an ‘in the club’ type thing and very transparent, unlike Rolex. I know other ADs and boutiques who have never seen either of those.

Yes and no. There are collectors out there that value access over grabbing a bargain. So for limited pieces, why not reward loyal customers. I personally don’t have a big issue with the practice as watches are available elsewhere to be bought as you see fit, including Snoopys over list. With Rolex there’s no guarantee. I wouldn’t suggest anyone buys stuff they don’t need.

@@alfieakaronaldogOmega have to guard against flippers. Why should any old Tom be able to buy a Snoopy as his/her first piece then flip to make 4K? Of course such pieces should be prioritised to loyal customers/lovers of the brand. Someone who’s bought a couple of other Omegas, AT, SM and the like, should be prioritised for the more exclusive pieces. Whilst I can’t say Omega ‘guarantee’ it, I’d say it’s highly likely they’ll get a sought after piece if the AD/boutique sees them wearing other models. More so if bought from that same AD.

If you go to a reputable Rolex AD and ask for a 4k above retail model while offering to buy two (!!) massively below retail models (e.g. two tone DJ with diamonds) then they will happily sell them to you. It's fairly transparent if you play the game and choose AD wisely. The difference is that Rolex has many models that trade 5-20k above retail so getting these is obviously much harder, if Omega had models doubling retail then it would be the same or worse than Rolex, as snoopy has shown.

Totally agree with you on this. Like it or not, but that's the way boutiques operate these days. Good video, enjoyed it a lot.

Hi Andy. Great info. Just to say that in my experience you do not have to pay list for the Spratt to catch a Mackerel in standard AD's out of London. Goldsmiths to be exact. A lesser discount of 10% perhaps, but not list.

Outstanding piece. I would love that one as well. Seems to me you would be as well off or better off to just buy it preowned instead of from the boutique. If you have to buy 2 or 3 pieces you really don’t want to have the potential to get offered the Snoopy, you would spend less on the secondary market now just to go ahead and buy it. They have come down a good bit in the past 6 months and are being offered for $17k to $18k USD. Great video!

Hello, my husband and I subscribe to Paul's channel, when he got his snoopy that inspired us too. We visited the same boutique and were advised if we buy a few pieces we too would be in line for the snoopy... Couple years on and about 3 watches later, no snoopy. We purchased the green SMP 300, Sapphire Speedy and a Constellation at retail and still no call for the snoopy. Gutted but we're not ashamed to say that we attempted to olay the game and were beat unfortunately... It seems as though Paul also recommended others to buy from that boutique and worked his charm unfortunately 18k of purchase doesn't seem good enough for us 😢

Whilst I appreciate the reason for why they produced it, and I think the complication on the back is really interesting and fun, it's just too kitschy for me. My closest boutique is Oxford Street (same group as the Royal exchange) they are really nice people in there, and have often shown me models that are harder to come by, it has been suggested that if they know you own a few Omegas you're more likely to be offered something harder to come by.

Good video Andy. I went into the AD on Regent Street to enquire about a 321. I got the standard no as I haven’t bought from them and then was shown the sapphire and hessalite Speedies as an alternative. I said I own both of those, he looked stumped. After talking him through my extensive collection of Omega and saying the 321 is the only watch of interest. He proceeded to show me other watches from the new summer blue collection and tell me about Omega’s history. The primitive facts, when Omega started etc. Nothing we don’t all as watch enthusiasts know. It’s rather cringe and unsavoury for sales people to tell customers who are more knowledgeable about the brand they work for, have purchased extensively from said brand to be told you need to buy from us to get a 321. So I’m just supposed to buy another Speedie sapphire to get my spend up. Omega will never have the appeal that the Rolex brand does. Rolex can sell a model of watch to a customer who doesn’t even know the model, or even care because the brand is so strong. Omega will never have that so they need to quit with the imitation game.

As much as I want a Silver Snoopy, I've resigned myself to not getting one. Hyde Park Jewelers in Denver is the only Omega AD in our area. I've bought a Breitling Avenger B01 from them last year. I've been told, I'm on the 'the list' but I really think it's just lip service. It's left a sour taste in my mouth and I'm not likely to give them any future business.

Yes Andrew I agree, a few beers ago I had my arm twisted up my back to buy an Explorer, just so I could get my hands on a Hesalite Speedmaster. (it was the last of a NOS watch from about 2010. Anyway I paid less than list for both. but still had to explain to the Missus why there was a wodge of lolly missing from our dotter's inheritance.

I love the Pro and current ‘57. Most of the special editions I have a hard time connecting with. The Silver Snoopy is a prime example. Find it interesting and I’m glad they offer it, that’s as far as it goes. The Ed White is likely my favorite. Previous metal tool watches don’t add up for me. I’d love to have a Pro, bought an A385 Revival preowned no regrets, maybe someday down the line there’s a Pro in my future. My Daily is a Railmaster, it’s been a superb watch for that role.

I've been trying to get this since it came out. Everyone told me how hard it was to get Rolex, especially certain ones, and I've been able to get four of those while since waiting for the Silver Snoopy...

They’re going for $17K all day secondhand. May as well just go that route.

I think the 321 is more special than this 3rd Snoopy edition. If I were to buy other Omegas from a boutique, it would be with the expectation to get allocated a 321 in stainless steel instead. The cartoon dog on a watch is a bit past my age to be honest...

Completely agree. The dog is naff & makes it look like a kids watch. The 321 however is a different story.

I was speaking with Omega on their website via the chat feature about 3 weeks ago and they told me that the Silver Snoopy has officially been discontinued.

I am one of the lucky ones whose A. D. had one in the store few years ago, and I had the opportunity to play around with the watch while I was buying my Speedmaster Professional. Sadly I didn't have the money to buy the Snoopy, but is one of my grails.

I think the Snoopy is a beautiful watch, I’d love one, but when Rolex were outed as playing this very game, ie buy some of the less popular stuff that we struggle to sell or jewellery that was never on your radar and you stand a better chance of getting a sports Rolex, they were criticised at every opportunity. No matter how much I like something , I’m not going to be held to ransom, I’ll accept the fact that I’m unlikely to get one/

Always found Omega boutiques very obliging. Swatch owned boutiques especially. That Seamater Trilogy is a beauty - very versatile and great on strap or mesh. Real '50s 'white heat' cool.

I'm just into double figures with Rolex at retail, all models I wanted. Only one other purchase a Tudor Panda Chrono. There's no way I'd buy Omega at full retail on the promise of a Snoopy which may never happen. The Omegas I own were all bought at around 30% discount. Great watches but only at the right price. I've already saved enough to pay the grey premium on a Snoopy I reckon.

I see the snoopy at £10000 from Omega Boutique but on watchfinder .....used is £14000 ....how so is this possible

Similar experience at another Omega boutique, but only the sales rep told me the queue is over thousands and if i buy two, they'll bump me up 200 places. Seemed seriously scammy so I declined. With the recent price surges, Omega watches are hella expensive and absolutely do not hold their value. If I need/want two omegas, that's something else but for a wordly promise of a watch, I'm not sure buying two Omegas at list where I'll lose 50% walking out of the door is a great idea.

Yeah I need to buy 3 omegas before got the snoopy. Luckily for me, all 3 were something I truly like/want. Speedy 57, JB NTTD and AT 38mm. So, getting a Snoopy is a bonus (considering its value above retail price).

Makes sense. Buy a couple of other pieces at high rrp (even more so these days!) at the prospect of being offered a snoopy in return, to try to offset the depreciation. Guess it’s only what Rolex ADs do via other brands/jewellery. Re the snoopy, as much as I like silver & blue colour scheme, imho the cartoon dog on there is completely naff. But each their own. Happy New Year.

I would Love one but to play this game just doesn’t seem fair

Everybody seems to love a tapered bracelet, but the watch makers don't listen. Yes, most do taper, but not by much, not enough for me.

Mine gussl The new watch is great! I've praised its realism many times. I really recommend checking out their selection.

Ive bought 3 Omegas from an AD in Leeds, and 3 other watches besides, a Longines and 2 Hamiltons. I asked just the other week about a silver snoopy and they said no chance. Apparently theyve only ever received 2 and wont put anyone else on the waitlist. Ive no idea how true this is, Im also not sure they knew my purchase history with them. It might be worth pointing this out to them and asking again before I curse their name, but this is disappointing to hear.

I guess you’re talking about Berrys. They’re pretty good tbh, so don’t have a downer on them. I’ve been in many Omega ADs and most haven’t ever seen one. It’s fair to say Omega are keeping the pipeline open to their own boutiques in preference.

@TheEnglishWatch fair comment. Berrys have always been good with me, and from what you've said it's likely they're telling the truth in only ever having received 2 snoopys. Still, frustrating, it's a watch I'd love to own along with the Apollo 11 50th anniversary. I'm a few years too late to both.

my OB told me, soon will be out in stainless steel with perhaps same price as current Speedy.

I’ve always been a huge Omega fan but the last couple of years have been really disappointing for Omega. While other brands are improving and tweaking their products Omega has been busy putting their prices up and little else. It’s not as if their watches aren’t in need of any upgrades either. Thick cases terrible bracelets are awful bezel actions on all their divers would be a good place to start. The power reserve on all their movements are very out of date too so there’s lots to improve on and hopefully Omega will actually do more than a few colour changes and a few ridiculous price increases this year.

GS, omega others make lovely technically watches then put brackets on them that come from a. Chinese sweat shop ( albeit nicely polished ones in gs case) no taper no micro adjust. Both companies are more than capable of making good bracelets and clasps yet don't bother it's ridiculous.

Omega fans and their double standards... When Rolex has waiting lists they complain and use this to "prove" that Omega is better. When Omega gets ONE model that trades moderately above retail and does worse things than Rolex (two watches is ridiculous) then suddenly its all fine.

@@powerrangers16712 that's because Omega has only one model where they managed to get it to trade above retail. Rolex is much more in demand and therefore most models trade above retail. The point is that brands restrict sales of their market value > MSRP watches for various reasons, but Omega abuses their one tasty model more than Rolex. Omega can make a LOT more snoopy speedies, Rolex cannot increase production on most of their arsenal overnight.

I’ve had a Speedmaster and several omegas. Omega is polluted with special editions. There is nothing special about being a consumer stooge. If you want to preserve your value-stick with Rolex
