i got this watch recently and i do love it, the best thing is how insanely accurate it is, after 2 months its only 4 seconds slow, unreal! My IWC big pilot gains 4 seconds a day.

I am definitely an Omega fanboy as well. I am on the list at my local AD. Hoping to have one of these babies very soon. I was able to try one on but it was already spoken for. It is absolutely a beautiful watch and extremely comfortable to wear. I hear the critics who don’t like the faux patina but I don’t think of it like that. I love the unique color scheme. That is the appeal for me, it’s uniqueness.

I agree the color of the lume is definitely part of the overall color scheme. The traditional Seamaster colors are on the cooler end, with blue being the classic now. To fit the duller metallic of titanium, Omega seems to have decided to go with a warmer color scheme with a dark brown and beige. The usual white would seem quite stark in comparison to the rest of the colors. This watch certainly may reasonably not be for everyone, but I think the “fake patina blech” people are way off about the design decisions.

Nice Vid!! I must admit I prefer the polished look of stainless. But the reduced weight is fantastic. I haven't checked grade 5 titanium watches, so I'll have to investigate that.

The mk 1 bracelet is deffective as it breaks at the welds at lugs and at the clasp. I suggest you check it if you wear the watch.

@@patrickjean-philippe7679 I've never heard of it happening to anyone. I've seen the same one photo online of a broken one, completely devoid of context. I wear mine a lot and I've never had a problem. So I'd hardly call that "defective".

Amazing watch, congrats! Love mine. Hope this won’t come off rude - the correct pronunciation is OmEga, not Omiga. This has nothing to do with English grammar rules, but the origin of the word, namely a Greek letter.

Its the snoopy of their dive watch line for mine, I'm just not a 007 fan & unlike you, I hate the colouring, but each to their own. Much prefer my pelagos. Great in depth vid nonetheless James, hope you keep enjoying it 🍻

The helium escape valve is inspired from the mini Reese's cup

I am actually not a fan of Omega but this watch is the only Omega watch that i just ordered (as its out of stock) and patiently waiting for it to arrive after i saw it and wear it today. The flagship store in Singapore actually allowed me to try out 1 that arrived yesterday. It looks much better in person.

This looks to be the one with the updated mesh which has the larger endlinks.

Not sure if you mentioned it in the video, but it looks like you got the version 2 of the bracelet with the thicker end links, which I like better than the original one since it looks more robust but its not as screen accurate to the movie.

Brilliant review. Think the dial is stunning but not sure about the bracelet. And the price :/ Not sure I can get over the line on this one for my first Omega.

If you have a crown type He escape valve, why not just unscrew the 3 normal crown and let He out ? Would it makes more sense than adding another crown to the watch body itself ?

The only thing is the solution of the clasp, a bit thick for me. Other than that, it is a beautiful watch!

I’ve owned almost a dozen Omegas. This is a very nice watch. The only thing I think Omega should have done was just sell it on the mesh bracelet and included the NATO strap with every set instead of offering it separately with the watch only. I’m not sure if a boutique could order that NATO?

100% agree with you. It’s actually quite annoying as the leather pouch has all the spaces for the extra strap and tool. For nearly £8k you’d of thought they could of thrown them in lol

@@showcasewatches3465 exactly lol. And that brown/tan Bond nato pattern is not available in the selection of Natos one orders from Omega. I’m wouldnt be surprised they won’t order it for it’s exclusive to the 2nd version of the watch.

Yeah it’s so painfully obvious when you look at the packaging. There’s empty pouches for a strap and tool!

Excellent review, I really think the reason for the faux lume is so when the bezel and dial fade over years the faux lume gives it a more natural effect rather than the bezel and dial fading and then these bright white lume dots....

This watch or a Speedmaster 57 with the same colour scheme? I love this watch and the fact that it doesn’t try and copy any other brand but I don’t like the Bond references. The 57 is cool and tries to be vintage but they devalue and aren’t sought after.

I forgot to ask you have you seen the Nekton Seamaster 300m with the titanium bezel?

I would love to have my Pam, Exp I, Speedy and Rose gold Lange 1 as my long term collection to be honest. 1 brand per watch and 3 steel stunners with no date that are perfect everyday wind and wear watches. I hope the new speedy either has a display caseback or they bring back the sapphire sandwich. I want to see that beautiful manual wind movement!

Lug width on the website states 20mm. Did you measure it? Also can we get a shot where you have it next/ compared to the Batman. 👍🏾. Great review.

The clasp and bracelet is way too bulky when closed. I would change it out and put a whiskey colored Horween strap.

That mesh band just reminds me of some sort of smart watch band...... Put a real ss link band on that

I own an Omega Seamaster but I’m incredibly jealous of anybody who owns a Rolex because it is so clearly superior to my cheaper Omega..

This ugly bulky stupid clasp is making me so angry. This milanese band is zero flexible and if your wrist is smaller than 7 and something inches, forget wearing that thing. Its impossible unless you plan to spend 9 grand on a watch that kinda sorta maybe fits. Nato, sure an option, but doesnt cut it for me personally. Excuse my anger. Im just disappointed at this watch. I was ready to buy it, but after 30 minutes in the Omega boutique with a very friendly, helpful lady I have to accept spending 10 grand on a used Sub or a nice IWC might give me more satisfaction. Definitely emphasized to me how great the value for money of my Tudor BB58 is. The most comfortable perfect bracelet and perfect vintage looking watch today..

I have a small wrist. I bought mine from an Omega Boutique and they ordered me a shorter bracelet which mitigates the bulk at the bottom.

How did the shorter strap work for you?, mine is on order after buying the watch yesterday as the standard is either too tight or too loose. AD says the shorter one will fit perfect
