In 1970, I was 16 years old and lived in the GDR at the time, we made a trip to Hungary from school as our final trip. OMEGA gave a concert in Keszthely at that time - and we had tickets. To hear this song again now brings tears to my eyes.

Dominic K music is art too man. It’s like you steal the 90% of a painting and finish the sky and sell it as your work. Kanye asked for permission to use Pressers song and offered him money. After 3 years Presser still didn’t get the money so he sued Kanye.. Kanye literally copy pasted this song. It’s not sampling it’s stealing

Somehow this song makes me feel horribly uncomfortable and like everything will be alright at the same time. It feels pessimistic and optimistic at the same time. It was the time when I arrived for first time to Budapest.. I did not know anything about Hungarians, people of inhabitants of the city and neighborhood. Everything I knew and loved was my behind in Istanbul. I find one karaoke place near the Eötvos Lorand University at the first night, and it was quite long night for me. I was getting drunk and drunk without thinking anything. Karaoke woman started the sing '' gyöngyhajú lány '' . After that I said '' please sing one more time '' ... Time was around 4 am and I don't remember how and where I slept after 8 time singing this song. After one year, when was my last night in Budapest preparing the change the city, I again went the same place to sing same song. After one year.. same day, same hour, around 4 am, a slight smile on my face, the the weather was messing with me. My legs were stronger, my concern was away. I took a deep breath, and I saw a lady with pearly hair in front of me.

Skorpio showed me how damned good Hungarian music is, and I'm still going down that rabbit hole. I've listened to a lot of Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Norwegian, German, Russian, Latvian, French, Mexican, Canadian, American, Ethiopian, South African, and Mongolian music, but something about Hungarian music is different. I connect with it more for some reason.
