Congrats on getting the bracelet you wanted. I have 2 very old Speedies from the 1960s and fitted them with the Omega 1450 in one case and the Forstner 1450 in the other. Of course the Omega 1450 is better but hard to find and much more expensive than a current Omega bracelet at retail. Personally, I think that the historic strap is the velcro one, so all can pick whichever one they prefer more.

Does the OEM flat link bracelet tend to pull hair? I found that the 3861 bracelet does (for me at least). Thx!

The Forstner is identical minus the locking mechanism and the finishing. You have two choices for the locking mechanism traditional stamped clasp or a more modern upgraded one.

and to what extent do the two belts (original vs. Forstner) differ in terms of finishing?

Apollo 11 50th flat link bracelet fits, with the thinner 1.5mm Omega Spring Bar.

I have personally never tried this as I purchased my Speedmaster 3861 on a strap, but I would love to know if it is reverse compatible.

I have allot of respect for Forster they make quality bracelets and you won’t be disappointed but comparing the clasp is like comparing a Toyota to a Lexus

“Toyota vs. Lexus” great comparison 😂😂😂. There are now 2 versions of the Forstner volume to choose from. Apparently I purchased the "wrong" version. I wanted a little more "BlingBling" for my Moonwatch. But definitely a bracelet that does NOT look like the Rolex bracelet.
