I own the G5C from AP Shave Co and it is easily the best synthetic knot I've ever owned and I do have a few different synthetic brushes. I bought the knot and set it in a HC&C handle at a loft that I enjoy and have reached for it most every time I've shaved since I got it. If you enjoy a synthetic brush, let me highly recomend purchasing a G5C brush from AP Shave Co. Set the knot in a handle of your choice, there's nothing to it. Or, just get the knot set from AP Shave Co. in a handle from them. They will set it for you for free and as Tobin said, you can purchase a handle for as little as 6 bucks so try one. I can promise you, you'll be glad you did.

I agree with you about the trash thing. I'm always out in the woods hiking, hunting, shooting, fishing, camping and I either burn trash in the camp fire or end up taking more trash than I made back out with me from picking up other people's litter. Accidents happen though, and I wouldn't beat yourself up about it. Before I bought a PAA shaving soap, I bought a tube of Tabac shaving cream, works really well like you showed yours doing. As for the menthol, when I ordered my oud spice I got the splash and the star jelly but without the menthol. I didn't want the smell of mint in my old spice scent. Not sure if that even happens, but I didn't want to risk it. I was picturing menthol cigarettes which are minty and I don't like that. I'm really looking forward to Thursday, one question though and it might be silly but might not... I know you and I live in Oregon, and your We/shave ad says it starts at 6. Is that our time or Eastern? James- The dude from Albany. (Might make that my signature on here haha)

Great Tobin! Had to copy the Barbus store site because that got lost with my old computer. Yep, a good old fashioned soap that been around a long time like Tabac, Proraso, etc. I agree that Proraso doesn't have much of any residual slickness and it does leave a soap film on everything. I do like it , but I've been meaning to try Barb's, but it just slipped my mind. The brush is kind of a wash, because if you did get someone to make a handle like that, you'd probably be in the same zone. It's disappointing though because of Omega's claims, but it's still a cool brush. Hard to beat the price on that razor and it would be a good one for traveling for sure. Happy Father Day!

Thanks, Ian! I feel like Barbus doesn't get the love it deserves. The brush is beautiful! The Razor was a big surprise for me, I didn't expect it to perform so well. But it does and that would be a good reason for B&M to carry it. Cheap, on the milder side, and smooth. Have a good one brother!

Talking of menthol getting your eyes going, my wife came downstairs this morning and adked me if i had conjunctivitis in both eyes due to how the huge amount of menthol i had added yo Italian Plum had affected my eyes😅😅😅😅😅
