Similar to my last comment: please give more description of WHY somebody would want whatever you’re covering in a video. “If you’re looking for a request app” isn’t clear or obvious for a first time plex user. “If you’re looking for a way for your shared plex users to request media to be downloaded” would be much less ambiguous.

Sorry mate. Followed your Gmail email domain set up and its all authed. But in this Ombi app to set up the email notifications/admin reset. I'm getting log failures for the username and password. Is it the username/pass of the admin account in Ombi? or do you need to use your Gmail logins? Or do you need to generate an app password in gmail? In the Ombi email settings. ~ edit~ figured it out. It is app password in gmail and use that in ombi. Thanks for all your great videos.

Great video, right up to the Plex setup chapter. If your using an affiliated login through apple or google, what username and password do you use? Because none of mine work!!

Great video as always. Timing couldn't be better, overseeer just crashed and it seems it won't come back online. Ombi seems more developed, I'll give it a try 😋

For your information: When setting up email preferences it is required to make sure that your email address is in the user area before inputting your SMTP email settings. Otherwise it will not work. Perhaps this should be in the video (comment) or the documentation for Ombi.

for a rooki its hard to install on my synology whre my plex runs?

Sorry complete noob here (mid video), so this is (for a lack of a better term) a "downloader" for plex and such? Or is this another player similar to plex and the others just linking them all to share the content? If player how would I add to smart devices (ex samsung and lg TVs, game consoles, etc)?

Not a player, this is an app to request content for your Plex (or other) media server. It sends the requests to apps like Sonarr and Radarr which get the content for you

How do I set up my own domain like you did? Is that reverse proxy?

Hi there! Thanks for this video! I'm halfway through the process, but when I try to load my libraries I get an error "unexpected character encountered while parsing value". Do you have any idea what to do with this? (I'm a noob😅)

Is Ombi still the best application on the market? This is the first video ive watched and id like to get Sonaar. Wtc working with Plex.

Ombi or Overseerr 🙂 we did videos on both

I did not know you could have gifs as app icons along with themes.......I have some tweaking to do lol

I setup overseerr ages ago and of my 5 users none of them use it.

Depends on your users. Most of my users, out of a dozen, use it and request media all the time.

I got one that requests a movie every few days, another that requests 30 movies every few months and the rest have no idea what the website is lol

Thanks for all the videos for the different plex media request applications. I have been doing things with Google forms/Google sheets and it works but its not as clean and automated as I would like and certainly not as clean for the other users of my plex library so I'm comparing the options here. at 4:38 could you repeat that name back again...is this a joke?! LOL Did someone pay you to say that? 😂 I wish you showed how the issues feature worked after enabling it but I guess I will just have to test it for myself.
