Countless times, a dozen of us would drive up to Memphis from Mississippi to see Omar play this very set and when he’d play and stop, and play and stop “Rattlesnake Shake” while we were shaking it on the dance floor…we would lose our minds….every time. Thank you, Kent Dykes, for giving us your music and kindness and some of the best times of our lives. We will never forget you!

I saw Omar in 1981 in the Waterloo Icehouse on Congress. I still own the Big Leg Beat t-shirt. But another time, crank the volume of your channel up. It is necessary. Thanks Ton.

Thanks for posting, saw him first on Austin City Limits and was lucky enough to catch a couple shows at Fitzgeralds near Chicago long ago.

Saw him, mid 90s at Gruene Hall, hot & sweaty night, placed was packed, loved it.
