Saw him multiple times in western NY in the late 80's, early 90's (Buffalo, Hamburg, etc.). Just great stuff!

One of the first bands i was introduced to upon my arrival to Austin, TX in 1989...loved the music then, love it more now....

I used to have pleasure of talking to this man at least once a week where he used to and still shops.He was the most down to earth guy and always took the time to talk to me.I miss those days.We talked and BS'ed about so many things.Where did it all go?But i wont forget you Omar.

He's very comfy with that axe...it's part of him. Great groove, great player backing him. Very cool!

Saw Omar and the Howlers at a bar in San Francisco, Stage was waist-high, and I set my drink on it. Superb.

This man is a Hoodoo man. He went into trance, right on the stage and delivered, eyes closed. If I could get a lock of his hair, it would go right into my Mojo bag.
