He aligns to his ancestors to hold him strong in the time of struggles. Using terms like #Waternogetenermy #osimiri which is ibo dialect is oceans; tells more of our baptism and remission from sin. Potopoto my eyes has a healing connotation to it like in the biblical story where Jesus Christ used mud (potopoto) to bring back the blind man’s sight. Cut my dreadlock is also attributed to the Samson story of weakness when your strong hold has been broken. But the Ultimate Guide to the heart of the song was the Three black women (not demons) painting him with all sort of magic and colors while he tell his story. In conclusion: understanding your root and where to seek your salvation is key to every healing and ultimately revealing the person to a marvelous light. ~my name is Onye ( I am a Song writer and song critics)

Thank you so much for explaining this beautiful song. Someone else was saying it's got a devilish vibe. And it would have been a shame if that was true.👍

I LOVE YOU, Onye!!! Thank you for being CONSCIOUSLY African. I love people who understand their heritage and think beyond the surface. Colonisers taught us to associate anything "black" with even. Many black people assimilate this backwardly stereotypical teaching, forgetting that their skin is back and that narrative is a form of mind conditioning. Sometimes, I get tired of explaining to people and just wish they would educate themselves and liberate their minds against propaganda and conditioning which has now been deepened by the influence of religions that are not ours in the first place. So kudos!💌

People are going through a lot of pain in this world irregardless of your financial position in the society. What he's merely trying to say is , Don't be too quick to judge people, be nice and help them through prayers. only God can take our pain away. our dark past or present situation is nothing to God, he is the alpha and the omega

Yes... It's almost like we've been programmed to not love what's our own, in this case our culture and traditions - readily referring to it as heathen and demonic- but very easily embrace religions and lifestyles which isn't and wasn't ours. I love the video and all it made me feel.... Even though I think it's mostly metaphorical for our inner demons, it's unquestionably african.

This is my nickname,,, it can be interpreted in SO many ways... I can forsee past mates playing this after breaking up with a Soso, begging her to come back to him.😏😏😎 The black images painting Omah Lay is like a showering of healing that he's been praying for.. ELEVATION from the pain, torment, depression or even regret. SN: Black images should not be immediately seen as "demonic" , for BLACK is what WE are. BLACK, is what the simple physical eye can't see thru at night..(Spiritual world). BLACK is what the Universe and all of COSMOS was, before light was commanded to enter.

The video is signify a cleansing ritual to take is pain away. Communing with ancestral mothers, thats why they are painted very dark, the darker the skin the deeper the roots. Then the masquerade in our culture signifies an ancestral spirit can either be used for good or bad. But as you can see he went to it to comfort him.

And so on… relate it to the video and get all the meaning you seek. It’s right there. Simple but spiritually deep. The video is a replication of a ritual.

When I first heard this song, it kept on playing in my head and I thought to search for it, after watching the video I clearly saw a man worshiping some ancient god. I think I'm glad I watched the video and better understood the song before listening to it. As a child of God(Jesus), I hear a soul that is in deep depression pain and longing for answer and truth; As I saw him bow down to the element: I was shock! yet at the same time I felt an overflowing of love in my heart for him as thou God is saying to him turn around and forsake that, I AM willing to take the pain away. Omah, Jesus loves you so much and HE wants to take away the pain. Turn around and His love will overshadow you. I like the artistic of the song but intend is death.

The demons were painting him, which represents blessings with a curse, now he need to calm down, go for purification to his ancestors which is the Big Mask he was bowing down to. He needs to understand why all is happening, ig he's lack of understanding caused him depressed cause it's alot to handle and alot to believe that is happening to him which he never imagined when he was a kid.

Revelation 17:6-7 6. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. 7. And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. Even John the divine was amazed at the awesome beauty of a witch(who has offered and drank human blood). This song is an open display of how satanic "charm and spiritual attractiveness" works. The kingdom of darkness can paint and bestow an awesome attractiveness on a song, voice, person or thing that would make the whole world to marvel and run after that thing and be highly and crazily attracted to it. This is crazy! When they bestow this attractiveness on you, you become a sort after and a renown. You become captivating and irresistible...that even God's own saints are attracted as well. Whatever they apply their charm on, becomes irresistible. No man can be free from their spell, charms, enchantments, captivity and snares, only the power of Jesus Christ can set anyone free from them. How can something be EVIL AND BE SO BEAUTIFUL at the same time? That's exactly how the stars and celebrities of the world are painted and ornamented...by offering blood they have procured for themselves great spiritual beauty and fame. All i see, is the demonic and a intense spiritual beauty mingled together. This song will both steal, kill and destroy many lives yet these lives won't be able to resist even if they were told. No one can access this sort of charm and beauty unless they OFFER HUMAN OR BLOOD SACRIFICE. That's exactly what Omah Lay has done...He has broken the commandment that says, "thou shall not kill!"...He has taken away PEACE from himself...I rest my case. Written by Pst Chris U Israel.

The video is deep and dark at the sane time..maybe he's trying to show his struggles trying to be famous..maybe he visit many unfamiliar places like you can see him kneeling before that strange image and those dark spirits tormenting him with those paintings. The things that happens behind the eyes in the industry is unimaginable my dear that's why you don't need to envy their success. They payed a lot.he even said try do wetin I do if you no deh fear.what do you think he's saying? Deep shit

Exactly my thoughts 💭 The level he is on wouldn’t be a financial struggle cuz obviously he is a big brand. It can only be a spiritual struggle Some of these guys go into deep devilish contracts that starts to hunt them later on As you could hear in his lyrics “ A don break commandments” In the initial stage, they are ready for anything cuz they are desperate and hungry In this world, envy no one just treasure what u have with gratitude

Black people aren't demons. You should know better as an African. Darker skinned people are the core representation of the african culture undiluted. You comparing them to demons was not right at all. They do not represent evil 💔 Disappointing reaction

@@bumbum5763 you clearly hate yourself. Black as a colour and a skin complexion has been a western symbol for darkness, slavery, and every evil thing. That was the mentality they used thier media to portray and CLEARLY! YOU FELL FOR IT. But white people in black clothes is giving chic, stylish, monochrome? This is exactly why many africans are treated like trash, people learn how to treat you from you.
