Thinking about coming to see the NYC show. Can you guys tell us the setup? Is it a whole show with Shing02 or is there an instrumental set as well?

@@afroboyjr8476 being sample based and being live are wholly different things. This is a live band I understand the semantic point you’re making but you’re being willfully ignorant. Modern rap makes beats they don’t construct anything anymore using anything live. Yes they still sample but there was a time where they sampled real playable music. Now it’s ALL digital, almost no artist could walk on a stage with a live band and play their music but…. Wu could Del could The vast majority of artists that made the music what it was could have, because it was still music. Rap has become tone and beat construct meant to appeal to the greatest common denominator, and music that can’t be performed without 5 sound guys, an auto tuned mic, and a bunch of pyro to make the stage look fuller

seriously when casual started rhyming on Make your move, hairs stood up on my arm, doesn't happen often, but I used to listen to Hiero / Sould of Mischief on KSJS in 1990-1991 before they were signed.

Man, it’s crazy how dope these dudes still are. Respect to Hiero.

What a great example of raw hip hop. Strip away the unnecessary glamorization the world finds all music is required to have and you will reach its purest core. This is beautiful.
