I m thinking that you should both do the mitrabinda yagnja for peace between you and the outcome will be positiv. However for your one mindpeace and balancing the energies in you and giving you inner peace nomatter how everything will turn lut, I recommend you to start chanting "namah shivaya" several rounds of japa daily or as much you can... "namah shivaya" is the Mahamantra in Kali Yuga and everyone is allowed to do it. No special initiation is needed. It will work always. "Namah Shivaya" will balance and repair a lot of things maybe even your issue, but at least it will give you peace of mind
