Thank you, it helped me decide between 12-100 and 12-45. Just ordered the 12-45.

The 12-45 mm f4 and the 40-150mm f4 makes a good pair for travel, nature hike and street photography including close focus.

This lens is sitting on my shelf. I haven't touched it in over 1 year since getting the 17mm 1.2 which stays on my camera 90% of the time. I also have the 40-150 2.8 that I adore. Trying to research if I would ever want to sell it. I feel like if I did, I would need it. It's so freaking light weight. I think it would be amazing to take on a trip.

I am intrigued by the 12-45 along with the EM5 MK3. Quite possibly a great weather sealed combo.

Nice video, I like your enthusiasm! Will you make a comparison video between 12-45 and 14-150? I have 12-100 and 12-45mm, but find 12-100 too big on my EM5III and 12-45 sometimes too short in focal length. 12-45 + 14-150 could be a compromise since 80% of my shooting is in the 12-55mm range.

I use as well digital zoom in combination with hand held high resolution!….

I have the GX9 and 12-32 f3.5-5.6. I have also found it limiting. I have the Lumix 35-100mm f4-5.6 companion lens, I love it, so small and excellent IQ. The problem is when travelling, swapping lenses. I looked for a while at the Oly 12-45 f4, I do like it but it is a similar size and weight to the Lumix 14-140 f3.5-5.6, plus, I found a super deal on that lens so I have it 🙂 I took the 14-140 on a recent trip, it is a great lens but I found it bulky. I swapped to my Oly 17mm f1.8 sometimes and I felt more comfortable. Hummmm .. tricky! 😉

At my country this lens sells for 460 USD while both the Lumix 12-35mm f2.8 and Panny Leica 12-60mm sells for 670 USD. I have an unstabilized lumix body (G7) . Is this lens still worth it if I use it for travel, hikes, etc.? I'm also considering buying a used stabilized and weather sealed Olympus body but right now my budget limit is at 500 USD.

The lens is ok for travel and hikes in this budget. I'm really loving the image quality, it's a little better than 12-100 F4 pro Olympus zoom.

What camera system and lens would you recommend for a beginner learner photographer? Olympus system or fujifilm?

@@Nadeemkhalid07 the jpegs are ok, no need for editing - just if you want something special. 12-100 is an outstanding lens. With that lens and a prime you can do all styles of pictures. That was my go to combo for a long time.

This one or the Olympus 14-150mm II? Is the Pro 12-45mm lens worth it if I have the 14-150?

I think not. I recently sold my 12-45 because I have this zoom - longer reach and very good image quality. The IQ is better but the rich is to short for me.

weight, small, price, min focus distance, a little better IQ (testet), longer reach is not important 😂
