I was hesitant to make this video because I am SO bad at Olympic lifting. But for me the joy is not in being good, but in doing the work to get better. Huge THANKS to Coach Josh who has been coaching me on these lifts for the last three months. I will continue to work hard and improve! Wishing you all a ton of success with your own fitness goals. Keep in mind that results are important, but so is enjoying the process!!

Bro the current crop of 800 runners worldwide can’t get under 1:43 high and usually they don’t break 1:45 even in big meets. You were a badass.

Well done Nick! DD hitting a personal best must have been an awesome feeling for him. We could see how thrilled he was! 👍
The snatch looked better than I expected knowing your shoulder mobility issues and how much you struggled with an overhead snatch grip squat in other videos. Keep at it, Olympic lifts have always been my favourite!
I started lifting 10 months ago. I'm just now totaling around 140 kg @ 75kg, doing my best despite the responsibilities of a job and family. It's awesome watching you get outside your comfort zone with Olympic lifts.
Your positivity and personality is mainly why i keep coming back to your channel 😊
Do I know anything about olympic lifting? Not really. Do I lift? Not for a very long time. Am I completely entertained and absorbed into this video? ABSOLUTELY❤
Awesome video! Thank you for taking us on another adventure. DD will nail that state record soon.
Nick love you man! Fire content It pays to be fit!!!!

Well done!!! Very fun to watch. Congrats!!!
Eleven years ago we all did something cool. We have just stopped talking about it like it’s still relevant 😂😂
Nice job Nick, Olympic lifting is tough. DD is a beast!
Love it! Just a starting point is all. I admire you putting yourself out there. I may not be as fast as you but I love me some crossfit and Olympic lifting lol!
Love your videos man!!
We need to see the RV-6 again! Fire vid as always 🔥
Amazing job nick! I’m so inspired by your confidence! You should be so proud of the progress you have made throughout your track and lifting career! Congratulations!
I bought shokz open move headphones for my appalachian trail hike this year. Made it 1,400 miles and i loved them. Glad to see that ad.
Great lifts with both you guys!
Respect. This is not an easy sport at all. Bonus props for going 6/6!
yup
HOLY!! DD is a beast for his size! Good job Nick keep pushing it man I love your videos
Good job,Nick🎉❤
Nick, you should come dow to Lubbock,TX sometime!!!
First off, welcome to the dark side. This sport gets in you and it never leaves. It literally changed and saved my life, and has taken me to competitions all over the world. More than that, it's provided me an opportunity to lead by example for my daughter, who is a budding gymnast. Also, the crew at Eastside are phenomenal. Tell them Mike from Miami says hi!!

Sir, could you share more perspective on this?
Well Done Nick!
I love this show
You've inspired me! I want in on the next Oly competition
Coach Josh is super dreamy.
Love Oly Lifting
Awesome !!
I really wished for Nick to come here in Malaysia and organize some track events and make track fun again back in my country.
You have so much more in you, looked easy!!
Get after it love it I here all these comments in my gym mobility technique strength
Reminds me of doing this sport when I was 14-15 years old weighing around 64-65 kgs. I had good results but also suffered with mobility.
That's interesting that your elbows are bent at full extension. Mine do too, but about 30 degrees in the other direction. I've seen plenty of others with hypermobile joints, but none that bend back quite as much as mine do. Which also makes me hate the term "locking out" because mine when locked can't hold much weight. If I'm going to be putting anything more than 5 pounds in each hand, my joints have to be STRAIGHT, not locked, in order to avoid injury. I don't do Olympic lifting, but I do have to put effort into keeping my arms straight and to avoid locking them when doing things like bench presses, overhead presses, and pushups.
Please come to Hershey PA
Impressive Nick! But where’s the race with you and Anthony Famiglietti? Two American Olympic Allstars need to make a race happen
Nick Symmonds turned pro in 2006, and considering he stated he was a professional runner for 20 years, I guess he retires from the pro scene in 2026! Hope he start uploading youtube videos then! :D
Amazing videos 🏋️
I know how insane that is . DD is a beast. I was 240lbs in College, and I messed around with snatch and Cleans. My best Snatch was only 225 lbs, and my best clean and press was only 300lbs. It's very challenging once you get to your own body weight.
DD is incredibly strong for how slim he is!
I have the same elbow issue! it was so hard trying to communicate to my wrestling coach about it
Bro you should come to Spain alicante to do challenges
❤❤❤Amazing vid

What's your grip like, Nick. Get one of those grip measuring devices and make a vid out of it?
The concept of ringing the bell after hitting a PR is so cool!! Loved it when everybody clapped for DD 🔥
Went full Jeff Goldblum with the walk away at 0:49
I love open earbuds!!!!! Use um ALL the time. Another plus is you don't get earwax on them like normal earbuds. Highly recommend for athletes, or for people who study a lot.
Love you man how are you doing?
I assume something special is on the board for this december, if ya know what I mean 😉

Odd it's 45 minutes... generally in a sanctioned comp it's only 10 minutes between the 2 lifts.

to be honest, that looked strange and I mean both lifters.
If you had some mobility and technique you could add so much more weight. That snatch was looking so light for you
hello
This guy does running but I fell like I could beat him in a race
Hey ya all Jesus loves you! Hope that makes your day better!
Its all fun and games til Clarence Kennedy comes along
Can the 1st comment get a like from Nick? 😊
You can see it's all about strength, nick has no technique in clean but doing it like feather 😂 guys strength is all and then learn the technique and transfer like hell

Those judges on the side are like the opposite of fit.
Not sure if you realized you were lifting at one of the top weightlifting gyms in the country. World champion masters athletes, walks of medals all around. While you were warming up and filming your content, you missed some of the strongest women in the country lifting right next to you. Too bad you missed the opportunity to really take it all in.
damn bruh.. milkin the shit out of being a 1 time olympic "athlete"
