Give it up for Dr Sid , you’re meant to judge their performance , not choose their performances for them , tell them what to add and subtract , in as much you want to criticize let’s not forget to complement something good when we see one , kudos Dr Sid

Most of these people are not fit to be judges I swear! The words were too powerful, he's in a place where he isn't appreciated, I hope he grows and gets to a place where he is appreciated, except from Dr Sid, the remaining judges head is only money they know, Dr Sid understood the message. He passed a powerful message in a beautiful way, but those 3 judges wanted entertainment. THEY ARE NOT FIT TO JUDGE SOMETHING THIS BEAUTIFUL. YOU ARE AMAZING, whoever you are.

Best amongst all the poets in this episode. It's just too hard to sell knowledge these days. The judges lacked knowledge to comprehend his thought process, play on words, figures of speech etc, they just wanted to hear generic lines.

This is deep and wonderful! I wish poetry had more time to say more cos I know how deep and beautiful this piece is. But yeah, this is a competition, dance to the tune of the contest, that's why you're mystique; shapeshift into the man they want. That doesn't change who you are my gee! We know you

He is wonderful but spoken words compared to dance and singing doesn't really carry audience, so if he makes it entertaining doesn't make it less deep, if you watched last year's own you'll understand their point

Well....... a lot of people would pay to see this performance,Oludasa style is quite similar to Soyinka's but for dry humour and satire which the latter never fails to infuse in his writing however for the sake of this competition there would have to be some sort of conformity to whatever the judges demand I guess.

I don’t think they understand this poet’s message. Colonialism has them blinded by how they control our minds and it’s through mindless entertainment. He has a message to deliver to his beloved Africa and the world. The judges have a lot to unlearn.

I don't think these judges knows what he just said and the meaning of poetry. Is it about just appealing to the emotion or revealing the truth with words that truly describes it meaning, am SMH hard to these judges cos I don't think they truly understands what it means to be a true poet. This performance was educational and yet three of the judges missed the point. His mantra is entertainment that is not about gimmicks and visual stimulation. Therefore the style of delivery is not necessarily for everyone. But the narrative demands attention not euphoria from being entertained. Just my HO
