Lyrics:
Brown guilty eyes and
Little white lies yeah
I played dumb but I always knew
That you talked to her maybe
Did even worse
I kept quiet so I could keep you
And ain’t it funny
How you ran to her
The second that we called it quits
And ain’t it funny
How you said you were friends
Now it sure as hell don’t look like it
You betrayed me
And I know that you’ll never feel sorry
For the way I hurt yeah
You talked to her
When we were together
Loved you at your worst
But that didn’t matter
It took you two weeks
To go off and date her
Guess you didn’t cheat
But you’re still a traitor
Now you bring her around
Just to shut me down
Show her off like she’s a new trophy
And I know if you were true
There’s no damn way that you
Could fall in love with somebody that quickly
And ain’t it funny
All the twisted games
All the questions you used to avoid
Ain’t it funny
Remember I brought her up
And you told me I was paranoid
You betrayed me
And I know that you’ll never feel sorry
For the way I hurt yeah
You talked to her
When we were together
Loved you at your worst
But that didn’t matter
It took you two weeks
To go off and date her
Guess you didn’t cheat
But you’re still a traitor
God I wish that you had thought this through
Before I went and fell in love with you
When she’s sleeping in the bed we made
Don’t you dare forget about the way
You betrayed me
‘Cause I know that you’ll never feel sorry
For the way I hurt yeah
You talked to her
When we were together
You gave me your word
But that didn’t matter
It took you two weeks
To go off and date her
Guess you didn’t cheat
But you’re still
You’re still a traitor
Yeah you’re still a traitor
God I wish that you had thought this through
Before I went and fell in love with you

If you pay attention to her style of singing and her voice, it's perfect, there is a style to her singing that people don't understand, Pearl Jam had a style in the 90s that no one was ever able to pull off, she is perfect

These slow ballads really are the best at bringing out her voice. She sounds so flawless. In her Good 4 U performance a lot of people were giving her shit because she kept losing her breathe. It's a very fast paced hard song to sing so I don't blame her but this just proves that she's a fantastic singer.

Lots of people equates singing skills with stamina. Good 4 U required her to move around and jump while singing, the fact that she was out of breath proved that she was singing live instead of relying on back tracks to cover up vocal flaws due to her performance. So for me that flaw was even more precious because she showcased her real live-singing instead of relying on back tracks. Anyone questioning her singing ability needs to get their ears checked or are just plain haters.

Exactly she has an incredible voice, if only people saw the videos of her when she was only 10 and the other live singing she did before getting 2021 fame. It's a mixture of nervousness, some of her songs being hard to sing and also the fact that singers shouldn't be expected to sing perfectly live? Y'all watch Tristan Paredes he talks about how she uses her voice and how her live singing is good: also how her 'Sour Prom Live' songs were actually live singing.

Autotune doesn't make any singer have less talent 😅 Most singers who know how to sing well use it in the studio simply because it makes the vocals sound more perfect than they already are. It's just automatic pitch correction, and if someone couldn't sing then autotune wouldn't make them sound any better.

I find it kind of ironic how Olivia is such a Swiftie, and is sort of carving a new path as a song writing story teller for her generation. Taylor has sung about and talked about her fears as a female artist/songwriter of being replaced by the next big thing, particularly as female artists over 30 are often discarded. Despite all that Taylor is genuinely supportive of Olivia and Taylor is still absolutely killing it... so I guess that's a win against ageism *and* sexism 🤟🏻

  • @mizzlemay8388

Taylor can NEVER be discarded considering she’s goin to become a music icon for the next generation. Considering her music aged magnificently well with millennials and early gen Z. Her career will end at some point, but her work will live to see another 20+ years.

@@emperortiger7207 that's sort of my whole point. In Miss Americana she makes a point of saying how much female artists have to 'reinvent" themselves in order to stay relevant in a world that's constantly churning out new artists. She's spoken at length about that being rooted in sexism and how even at 21/22 she was struggling with the prospect. It wasn't a criticism, it was the opposite. Despite the "odds" and the industry pitting female artists against each other, she supports people like Olivia and is no less successful because of her age.

the thing I love about liv is that whenever she performs you can actually hear the emotion in her voice. she sings it as if she’s talking to her ex directly and I love that for her.
