Almost everyone has their phone out. Dont you think it looks ridiculous??? If i saw that many ppl taking videos id stop because there will be enough videos on youtube. Also ofc taking a video takes focus off of the main act. You are watching through a lense rather than your own eyes.

Just take a pic or 10sec video to have a memory stored in your phone, but why the heck would u record whole song when the audio is shitty anyway and u have 5 people around screaming (not even singing) the lyrics...

I went to her Vancouver concert for my birthday i anyway live in Vancouver so it was easy for me lol. My favourite part of the concert was everything but my fav was when she said “don’t text him” she said that because someone had a poster that said “should I text him?”

Hating on it? No, just feeling sorry for the people going to these concerts and not actually soaking it in. I mean look at them, they're there in person and they're focused on keeping the performance in frame on their fucking phones. It's sad they're not just in the moment enjoying it. Your "they're doing it for you, you ungrateful assholes" take is off - does anybody *really* need 100 slightly different angles and varying quality of the same performance? I mean yeah, it's their experience, and they can do with it what they will, but it's still pretty silly, and people are right to call it out as such.

Thankfully most other music genres aren’t effected by that too much because people actually care about the music in a deeper way rather than this type of commercialised music. Awesome performance! Its a real punky pop number! What I don't understand is nearly all of the crowd holding their phones up and recording the gig as it happens in front of their actual eyes! I mean you can obviously see other people are recording it so it you want to re-watch it you can you don't need to record it as well. I find it a bit sad that people don't just immerse themselves in the experience and enjoy it in the moment rather than watching a live show through their phone.

If I was looking for and watching the 100 or whatever videos from the same concert from slightly different angles with shitty camerawork, then you might have had a point.
