Olivia wasn't pushed. She did it herself. Poppy was going to but it wasn't needed. Abigail was alive and Olivia killed her. She's dead on the floor and then Olivia sees her as a ghost when she's in the blue dress and she asks if she's awake now. You'll learn more in the next episode.

abigail was real; the hints were that “my mom worries a lot” clara saying that she has a daughter around nell/luke’s age, luke saying abigail lives in the woods where the dudley’s live too. the woman that grabs her is her grandmother mr. dudley’s mother that used to live there. the reason why hugh left her there was because his intention was saving the kids first which he should’ve because she was trying to kill them. he didn’t know that it was the house manipulating her so that’s why he left her but he dropped them off and went back for liv. in episode three, olivia mentions that she’s sensitive to theo; which is why the house preyed on her because it was easy to manipulate her and use that sensitivity to their advantage.

I’m a year late, so my bad lol. I loved your comment/explanation but wanted to ask and/or clarify - wasn’t the lady who grabbed Abigail’s hand Jacqueline/Jaclyn (however you spell it😅) I thought I remember seeing a picture, when Mrs. Dudley is telling Nell about “Jaclyn’s cup of stars” and I thought they looked the same. I could 100% be wrong but that’s why I wanted to ask lol. 🤍

The old woman ghost in bed wasn't Clara. That was Hazel if I'm not mistaken. Clara is Mrs. Dudley.

Without spoiling too much, yes Abigail was real. This show just did an incredible job of making you assume she was a ghost in the woods all this time until the last moment. It was her newly formed ghost that appeared to Luke in the window as they drove off.

@@Hey_Jamie How are you not supposed to know that yet? It's pretty obvious. Ghosts don't typically die of rat poison and then lay on the floor while another ghost of themselves appear. I would say the writers are making it pretty clear they're giving the audience a huge reveal by showing Abigail was actually real.

@@Cujo4169 Think about it, if it was the writers intention to make the audience think an already dead girl died of rat poison and have her ghost lay on the ground while another ghost of her shows up, just to reveal the first ghost was actually alive the next episode then it's pretty stupid on their part. Therefore it's not really an assumption that they're revealing her as actually being alive the whole time but common sense.

@@ryannielson9961 no I understand what you’re saying, I also figured Abigail was real and also the Dudley’s kid when seeing old girl choking. Lots of people tho need a verbal confirmation which is given in the next episode which solidifies the assumption ya feel me.

Because she's the most vonurable usually bad spirits go for the most vonurable person in the family it's the easy target to control a person

Vulnerable?

The past scenes are in the early 90s I believe- Luke had a Ninja Turtle pillow case, during the funeral Hugh looks down and it shows Nellies funeral service card and I think it said she was born in 86 or 87, which works out with the twins being six at the time, and Theo’s hat……. I had one very similar, and I was born in 82, there was a TV show called “Blossom” and it was a very cool thing at the time lmao.

Also, remember the mom is “sensitive“, so she was picking up all the house shit from the start. The house (aka mainly Poppy, because she was insane) was able to manipulate that by showing her all the messed up stuff and convincing her the only way to “wake up”/save her children is to kill them so they’re permanently frozen as they are, before the world gets them. The house/Poppy was also able to manipulate Liv into killing herself, notice Poppy never actually touched her. The movements were just death spasms, the body was in the process of shutting down.

Abigail was real, her full story is explained more in the next episode. Like the first 5 episodes were dedicated to each of the kids, 7 was dad's, this one was mom's. And mom is dead. I think she hit her head on a desk on the way down. But we still havent seen the ending of THAT night just yet.

I like to think that this is robs room and every time you guys are watching something without him you’ve just kicked him out of his own room

I think it’s 1992. Nell’s therapist said none of them have seen the house in 26 years (2018-26=1992). Although, for a while, I thought it was the late 80s because Theo was grooving to Paula Abdul’s “Cold Hearted”.

Good catch linking mom’s story telling scene with Mrs Dudley to Shirley’s busted window. I missed that connection.👍🏽

"It was a dressing room for me" Ohhh, so it's a library for Olivia, and a dressing room for Poppy...

Abigail was real, then died and is a ghost. I still don't know which ghost came to get her. Most likely a Hill since she is family. Her father, Mr. Dudley was born in the house. Mrs. Dudley tells Olivia she only decided to help after her husband, Horace told her they had children "two the same age as my little girl." She home schools her daughter she told Olivia in a previous episode. My daughter isn't allowed here. We live in the woods! Mr. Dudley and Hugh have a conversation about losing their first little girl stillborn. Aludes to that they have another daughter. The scenes we see with the Dudleys are one or the other hinting that the one we don't see if watching their daughter at home.

I think the Crains really got the bad end of the luck stick picking Hill house to finish up. Their family or at least Liv’s side of the family is “sensitive”, Theos hands, Nellie saying that the house was loud, Sheryl’s dreams, and Liv’s migraines. It might makes them a lot more susceptible to the ghosts. I just wish Liv was able to talk to Theo about it before she died so she felt less alone :/

Remember how olivia said when she has her migranes she sees things? And when nellie enters the house for the first time, when her mom asks, she's says the house is loud. Luke has those abilities too. So does shirley since she talks in her dreams. Just like theo, the entire family has abilities. That's why nellie could see her future self 'the bent neck lady' . Olivia saw nellie on the table during one of her migranes. The house basically manipulated olivia's vulnerability and her abilities. Poppy used that. It's very sad honestly. Olivia couldn't distinguish between what's real and a dream. She thought killing them would wake them up from their 'dream' as suggested by poppy when she whispered in her ear. imo Poppy is the real villian lmao

Just wanted to say I love the show and I fuckin love you guys. Shame Rob’s already seen it, I would’ve liked to see his reaction. :( Can’t wait for the finale!

that hammer by the door was from hugh's attempt. the door was intact and not broken at all so obviously olivia didn't have to break the door to get in

Nice catch with the ghosts and the hammer. The hammer was still there from when Hugh had tried to open the door. I think that it was Abigails grandmother, Mr. Dudleys mother, who takes her hand. He had said he was born there, and probably the illegitimate son of Mr. Hill. Young Theo saw Liv with her head bashed in from the fall back in her episode.

There was also black stuff on the bottom of the vanity that Steve painted

The mom wasn’t pushed you can see Poppy’s hand still reaching to touch her when she falls. She really did commit suicide thinking she’s just wake up.

I felt bad for the Mom, totally, but.. she let herself be manipulated by Poppy because she preyed on her insecurities as a parent. She was convinced that life = death because she gave in to her fears. It's not her fault, but it was her responsibility not to let her fears kill her family :/

your opinion contradicts itself. you admit that liv was able to be manipulated because poppy preyed on her deepest insecurities and fears. what, was she supposed to be prepared for a psychic assault from a house? she's a human being who's never come across anything like hill house before, how tf was she supposed to fight it when it had sunk it's claws in before she even realized?
