he is so scared of meeting them. why cant i just tell you. you can tell them after i'm gone. i love this scene it fills in all the gaps and they all fully meet and are introduced to each other. is it edward who creaks or the chair when he gets up. i think bronlow was hoping he would have a fit so that rose wouldn't be afraid of him. i think it is sweet that he doesn't expect forgiveness, for what he has done. i love that character especially when it is macro warren.

Um, his name is actually Edwin. :) and I think Mark Warren is awesome in this role, he somehow.....plays it so well.

@Shakespeare: Maybe because it's not as surprising to her in this version as it was in the novel? After all, in this version, not only does she know who she really is, but she also knew her sister was pregnant and had run away somewhere and had a child. In the novel, she didn't know either, and both came as a big shock to her. This also isn't the only version to portray that moment without much emotion. Every other pretty much has, including the supposedly "perfect" 1985 miniseries.

i don't think i like this interpretation of monks. the odd self-harm thing was interesting, but he was supposed to be he hated his father as much as he hated his mother. and he was supposed to be so much more, sinister.
