What I’ve noticed after watching this for the 60th time is that his facial expressions dramatically change throughout the song. Whenever he is singing the chorus, his face becomes full of anger and hate, yet there is pain behind it because after the chorus, his face changes to sadness and pain.

Rees Rowlands you’d be surprised, they also get budgets for the albums. The biggest example and most recent is Kreayshawn who performed Gucci Gucci, she never made a dime and actually is in debt for 700k. Of course she’s didn’t release consistently good music like Oliver Tree, but she reached a higher peak of fame than he has. Basically all I’m saying is, he could be in debt, but if he is not then he’s most likely leaving due to not making much anymore. It’s undeniable that he reached his peak already and it’s downhill from here unless he changes up something

Everyone in the comments are talking about how he's coming back with a different persona, sadly I disagree. He's been screwed over by 2 different record labels and lost his spark, and wants to do other things. As much as I want him to come back I respect his choice to move on.

@@twothumbsin sadly I think little ricky was the producer on the song and oliver said he wrote a few lyrics for it. Oliver also said he worked on the instrumental for it. So it has me thinking little ricky was a featured producer

All of the stuff on this project was basically created like 5 years ago but the record label held it all back. He's moved on creatively but basically had to go through all the motions of projects he wanted to get out further in the past. It's why he's dropping out of music to another medium (film) where he can get more freedom.

It's just a scooter for people to see you inside, creativity as big as his is multidirectional, he won't ever truly finish with music, but will pursue filmography cos it's more whole in conveying what you mean (IMHO)

Thank you. This really gives me an idea of what the song could really mean. I feel as though it's oliver tree saying that once he started his persona/career it isn't what he was expecting to have it turn into or maybe he's tired of acting like an asshole. Or maybe he just doesn't wanna do music anymore. But i feel as though no matter what he does this song is him stating how he feels and how he wants change to his life

i’m gonna miss ur music so much. ur style was and is so refreshing from other types of music and and it brings me so much joy. i know u won’t see this but i really hope ur just changing the persona and not quitting forever. i know it must be hard not being able to release whatever you want and being screwed over by record labels but i truly believe that if u kept going, you’d be able to find someone that would assist u with releasing new music. i’m just very disappointed and depressed now that i’ve found out ur leaving. i’m gonna miss u and ur music oliver. i love you man

I as well found his music just a month ago and I listen to the deluxe version of his album every day, all the way through multiple times. I drive a lot so I just song my heart out and I am almost sad when I arrive. I want to listen to the next song! I typically hate driving but now I look forward to it

I discovered him before the album released, he made a big deal out of it being his first and last album, and i think it was in some aspects. He sold out afterwards, and became a huge artist. Though the quality dipped
