Oliver Samuels got us through university in Canada back in the day. When the Caribbean students would get homesick, we would gather and watch “Oliver at Large” to feel better.

The owners and who own the rights to these plays needs to upload them, plays such as LIME TREE LANE, OLIVER AT LARGE, TITUS aka Titus COMES TO TOWN, ETC. These are legacy to be seen and viewed by past generations to current generations and future generations to be motivated

Wayne out of all the CUT this CUT is Cutting. Mi can't stop laughing. Olive and Glen is the best. Love love the CUT.
I grew up in Trinidad watching Oliver. He was all we saw and cared to see on TV. this interview gives goosebumps
I am just watching this episode of The CUT and being somebody who is close to 70 years old it is interesting to me that many of our younger people, including Wayne, appear to not truly understand the influence that Miss Louise Bennett, Leone Forbes and Oliver Samuels had on our Jamaican culture at home and abroad, and how they influenced how the world sees Jamaicans. Wayne seemed so surprised to understand that Miss Lou used to do pantomimes and plays. Those of us who are my age knows that that’s what she used to do, long, long, long before the addition of VHF’s & other things came along. We had the amazing benefit of growing up with Miss Lou doing pantomimes and plays and then going on to JBC TV and doing … I think it was called ‘Ring Ding’? Those who know, please help me out, add your memories, please!! we need to educate our younger people because they don’t understand the legacy that we Jamaicans have in theatre, and in Pantomimes and in plays. Does no one have our Jamaican entertainment history (other than Reggae and Bob Marley) recorded somewhere? BTW: Trevor Rhône is worth more than a passing mention. He was extremely involved in assisting high schools to be part of the theatre narrative.
Wayne you have the midas touch in everything you do. You snagged Oliver and Glen Campbell in the same space. I loved this interview. Oliver is amazingly humble and giving. The rapport between him and Glen is outstanding. You 3 had me laughing 😃 out loud with your impromptu skit. I rate this 100 out of 10🎉
Oliver me caa manage yuh a the real deal.
Thank you for showcasing our living legends
Mr Samuel and Mr Campbell they make me laugh out loud.
Dis nice eeeeh! These gentlemen are down to earth, classy, excellent representations of greatness. Jamaica is eternally proud of these legends!! Great episode!
These are the stories I want to see in biopics of the lives of notable Jamaicans. No screen is too big or small. It's the stories we need to hear.

Wayne this was needed at this time!! Hearing these men reminisce jog my memory about getting VHS from “fareign” and watching Oliver and Titus..reminds me why Jamaica is adored and admired. Many of the younger ppl who say “everything is not Jamaica” or “Jamaicans think they are all dat” is because they don’t understand that Jamaicans have always set the trend for other islands!! We got our foot in we brought other islands along. I get so sick of ppl wondering why ppl so hype abt us and we see in part why Just from this interview. These men were admired and revered in homes outside of Jamaica…think about that. For other islands some ppl saw Jamaica like foreign bec we were in places that others fear to trod! It’s in our blood. This discourse brought such nostalgic memories and I still have CDs converted from VHS of these two men showing their talent. Let’s not talk about abt Ms Lou. Same concept with the thinking of ppl in other islands..how Ms Lou oratory skills and unbridled love of her dialect and her patois! She took patois to the movie screen and the BBC unapologetically!! That’s how deep we run. I tell other islanders we are u, u are us! Let’s celebrate each other. 24:46

Wow! I knew some of those kids that were at the school from Mona Rehab center. My encounter with those children when I was at Mona Rehab changed my life. They were abandoned by their parents after being born without limbs due to the mom's taking a medication for nausea. They were the kindest children. I've been a Special Needs nurse for the past 30 years. Dr Golden was so gentle with the kids.

Flowers flowers, legends and their legacy's will be remembered and carried onward and forward

❤❤❤❤unno a de BEST Oliver Glen Wayne ❤❤❤❤ i enjoy the CUT❤❤❤
This was so enriching, nostalgic and therapeutic for once I could hear good things coming out of Jamaica and not death and destruction. When We look at these 2 men and recognize that they had people who they admired growing up and now our kids are admiring thugs and dancehall artistes it just goes to show the moral decay in our country. As a child in the late 60s and early 70s I never missed a Pantomime. I have every Oliver VHS tapes. My USA born son watched them at age 2 and could repeat them line by line by age 5. At 34 years he still watches them. Great job guys.
