2/7/9 series turbo cars use a MAF instead of a MAP sensor. So when coming out of boost on a pull they run extremely rich then lean as injectors shut off if you keep off gas. If you've done a Cat delete especially with sidepipe you can get pops/fireballs bangs out the exhaust on deceleration. Bosch LH2.2 LH2.4

I got a 940 wagon and it's an automatic.. A shame since the weight distribution isn't great for drifting and being automatic doesn't help. But i'm getting a sedan for a project car in a couple years:) Just look for one and you'll get one too👍🏻

I grew up in mine. My parents got her back in 1995. Some guy bought her new in 1994 but traded her in with 1400miles for a 960. My Dad is an Expert Technician at the dealership and snagged her for a deal (plus a 240sx trade-in). We've had her ever since, and now she's gone 600k miles. Original engine, original transmission. She is by far the most comfortable car I have. I'll never get rid of her. I can't wait until she hits 1million.

I got a 1997 model. Was unused for many years. Requires a lot of maintenance and has given me some serious stress and bad moments, specially in the financial matter. But I'm in love with the car. It's so classy and such a beast. Just love it.

I fixed my wife's old 240 wagon on our 2nd date after helping write a term paper for her college class at around 1am after we watched the worst James Bond movie in the series (Her Majesty's secret service - no debate on this one) so I guess she figured I was good enough to keep. #LazenbyWasTheWorstJamesBond

Thank you! The engine is the famous "redblock", it is the b230 engine that comes stock in these cars, 4 cylinders with a extremely stirdy bottoms, the top is a 8 valve, but they also come with 16 valves. But the 8 valve has a so much nicer sound🔥

I have a 940 turbo, and wanted to know how did you get the rims to fit with the security pin in between 2 of the lugs? I haven’t been able to find any rims that fit it

I’m sorry but I’m not completelly sure what you mean? If you could try to describe a bit further😅 I guess my english fails in some areas🥴 But these wheels are like the most common ”tuning” wheels an old volvo can have, so the fitment on these have been tested like a million times before!🤙🏼

The indexing peg is just a fancy bolt, to ensure right wheel position if the wheel is balanced on the car (a German thing, I believe). It has no other purpose. Simply undo them with a wrench and you're good.

They are regular LED lights, shouldn't be no biggie to find these lights!

maybe a billet aluminium engine based on the last b230ft would be a good choice.

You'd probably have to have a minimum of 100K subs to be able to live out of KZread and even then your salary would be considered as a low-income salary... You have a great evening too!🙏🏼

The car will get a completely new engine(top secret), and some safety adjustments will be made to the car, a rollcage will be added and etc. But the build is on hold atm, because normal everyday priorities✌🏼But the car will most certainly see the roads some time again,🤘🏼We don't know when, but it will happen!

Best you can do is take good care of your transmission in these 940's. The transmission will fail before the block every time

Most likely yes! This volvo got a bmw transmission tho. Around where we live, alot of the older mercedes and volvos that are up and above the 300hp mark uses the 5/6 speed zf, they prove to be more or less indestructible for any street car!

Chris Mckimmey Literally whatever you want, either you turbo convert the engine or you keep it n/a and maybe try to tune it that way🤷🏼‍♂️ Try to read volvo forums and see what other people have done with similar engines/builds
