There's this whole subgenre of swing house in electro swing with artists like duke skellington, SpekrFreks, dutty moonshines big band and even some Jamie Berry and Varrick Frost that does that. I love the sound of bass and brass together

I can't stress enough just how much this song slaps, what a great track for a show like this.

I love how this starts off very peaceful and melancholic (by swing standards), but obviously builds up to something. Then the remix kicks in and you understand that the name "Olive Branch" and the images of Peace doves that the lyrics invoke are more than ironic.

50-ish seconds in, I can already hear Mordecai’s footsteps walking to position his shot.

That violin is so Rocky. Chaotic and violent, but somehow structured and brilliant!

It's funny to read people discovering electroswing, it's one of my favorite music genres

That background beat throughout most of the song really matches the "driving relatively fast" feeling, and the more electric instrumentals sounding like cranks and car horns really helps keep it in-theme

I gotta admit, I didn't know about Lackadaisy before the pilot, but once I was done watching I've read the comic... in two nights! It's an absolute piece of art and all characters, from both sides, are absolutely amazing! I hope the comic is not done yet and we won't be left with a cliffhanger, especially now when the story thickens with every page!

​@@Toastman64 I agree with you on Lackadaisy being planets better than Vivzie's work. Lackadaisy cares about what is of the world it is writing and is subtle about the writing of it's characters. Vivziepop takes a different approach to the characters and makes everything obvious and usually writes to see what is the most quotable. Even if both approaches are good in their ways, Vivzie doesn't focus on the nuances that Lackadaisy would by miles. Lackadaisy may have quotable lines but would rather keep to the story rather than a line lol.

This is a master piece of music. the mix of 1920 jazz and the crime move beat with the vocal. The violin and the trumpet and trombone steals the show. Lackadaisy is a master piece of art and music I can wait for season one if the pilot is THIS GOOD.

This song has been the best thing since sliced bread.

I know right, wish more of them used it, its usually just in gypsy electro swing like early caravan palace or jive me, its also got kind of a Jamie berry/Riff Kitten effect that makes it sound darker, it's awesome

Yo, I hope Lackadaisy gets picked up by a corporation, this music is awesome! It's a great blend of, er, Jazz I think it is? And electrobop to mesh so well together! Incredible. I cannot wait for more music to release from the show, that is assuming it gets picked up which I am rooting for!
