Wicked pond, as it’s heated, why don’t your brother put some tropicals in there? bass or Red tail even .Could always add more heat if needed ,I would definitely do it Mick, at least give it a go 👍☹️ Just chuck a couple of fully grown Oscars in there as a tester. I’m sure that will be fine and the koi would be fine at 22°, as would the Oscars

Kumonryu is a scaleless version of a matsukawabaki. The koi in the pond is a hajiro and has scales. (I see your other comment 👍🏼)

He’s doing a good job considering you think he doesn’t know what’s going on,I’ve seen people who profess to know everything about koi keeping with fish in terrible condition maybe you fall into that category…???
