@allkindsofoutdooractivities I recommend it for sure, I've since used it to split some kindling and some decent sized cut logs. The finger hole in the head is great to gain and maintain positive hold while using the wedge at the handle end to finish a split.

@JR-jc7oj yes I split some kindling this last weekend both hard and soft wood with little to no issue. I also split some seasoned 16-inch hard wood with the aid of a small log to hammer it down with.
