Olight i3T vs. 3.7v 10440 Lithium Rechargeable Cells - A Runtime and TURBO Endurance Test

Like many of you, I’ve been curious how the Olight i3t can handle constant usage of 3.7v 10440 lithium rechargeable cells. Will the LED survive? Will the light overheat? What kind of runtime do these batteries offer? In this video we try to get some answers to these questions.
Note: Olight does not recommend using any batteries other than those indicated in the product manual. The 10440s used in this video are from PK Cell and have a capacity of 350mAh.

    So you were able to pickup the light after 20 minutes? And it didn't melt the circuitry....should mean it would be easy to hold at "step-down"...you should do a "held in hand test ...to step down...while at max lumens" :)

  • @PardonMyEnglish

    @PardonMyEnglish

    Жыл бұрын

    I found them on Amazon. The only two brands of 10440s I’ve tested are PK Cell and Demon Fire. The Demon Fire cells are nice because they are protected but they are slightly longer so they are a tight fit in the light. The Demon Fire cells also didn’t come with a recharger.

  • @PardonMyEnglish

    Good question. Unfortunately 10440s won’t work in the i3T Plus. Because the batteries are stacked, the voltage doubles to 7.4 and the LED can’t handle it.

  • @PardonMyEnglish

    @PardonMyEnglish

    I have not tried that but I don’t think it would work because the batteries would be stacked and connected in series. This would double the voltage to 7.4v. I doubt the light would be able to handle it.
