Oleg Kalugin, former KGB Major General/Counterintelligence and founding Spy Museum Board Member, was born in 1934. As a top Soviet spy, Kalugin was in the 1st Chief Directorate of the KGB, becoming the youngest general in KGB history. He would rise to head KGB operations in the U.S. (Washington DC) during the Cold War. His cover was a journalist. Today, Oleg is an American citizen and an outspoken critic of the Soviet regime and his former KGB subordinate, Vladimir Putin.
