Televisions are a great deal, they are the center piece of our homes, they are first piece of tech to be noticed in the living room, and most important they are a form of entertainment. You will be amused by how many people don’t know what type of a television to buy, and for what environment. In the past decade one needed not to think hard on what type of television to get since almost all televisions were LED - LCD displays or plasma displays. Today in 2023, television displays have evolved and consumers have a wide range of choices to satisfy their needs. This video is aimed at explaining the different types of television displays found out there, this will help consumers in making right choices when buying TVs. OLED televisions gets all the hype for their good picture and great contrast ratio, what’s mini about Mini-LED televisions? What’s the difference between ULED and QLED?

@@moseswaweru 1) Auto Dimming - you will notice dimming is in action, bright -> dims -> bright -> dims. Its not a consistent process, and it can actually happen 0.5sec delay after the scene had changed. When brightness change, the colors will change too. 2) Dimming zones /blooming - The subtitles have white to grey gradient. As the TV tries to dimming a certain part, that changes the brightness of the nearby scene. So you will notice a long subtitle or a bar of words have different shades. Just go to any store with a Mini Led TV running Demo with a bar of words showing the TV spec, that bar will change in color and brightness, because the background of the demo switching dark and bright content. That is also part of the blooming effect. Which on paper, its just blooming, but in real world, that can be disgusting, seeing the TV changed the brightness/color tone due to how the hardware functions. 3) Viewing angle, some are ok but many have terrible viewing angle. Before I owned one, I was thinking how bad can it be right? Many reviewer says if you have a bright room, buy a mini led tv. Day times also means you are doing house chores, works, the moving sunlight, can distract one to sit on a spot. And when you move, you will notice the color and brightness are changing. For my TV, every 2 to 3 steps from where you are sitting or standing, big different. For me, a Mini LED TV (especially mid range one) has many faulty technology that are not mature enough, ask you to pay more, but didn't warrant a good viewing experience. And there is a hype across the net created to help them sell those TV. Cheers.

For one, if you do not have a lot of dimming zones, you will see the absolute worst blooming.@@moseswaweru
