Early hardstyle is the best no games x

Listening to this is bringing back feelings I didn't think I could feel anymore... my late teens/early twenties, when I was younger and naieve and felt I had the whole world in front of me. DJing and drugs, raves and buddies, it was all go go go and buzz buzz buzz. Then you grow up and realise that's not the real world, got too into speed, dropped outta college, abusive relationships, failed dreams, mental health issues etc etc. Now all these years later... Anyway, I still look back at these times soo fondly. Because even though its not reality, that immunity, that "I'm young forever, and have all the time in the world" feeling is the best I ever experienced and once its gone you can never get it back. Enjoy it while it lasts. BUT! Listening to this, reminds me how it felt, the freedom, the euphoria... the not giving a fuck. Free from fear and responsibilites. But this makes me feel like life doesn't have to end there. It can never be a dream state like it was, but maybe I can get some decks again and mix Hardsyle for old times sake and maybe I really should take the gym instructor course and put my passion for weightlifting into something. Maybe I can sill have a fun life. Thanks for helping me remember what I used to feel... 👀💕👀

Soooo update... I DID invest, got some decks, speakers, laptop etc Used to mix vinyl back in the day, but went mp3 way this time, as less space and less money. And YES! Its the best thing I could've ever done. Happiest I've been in over ten years. I now stream regularly on Twitch "DJStutttter" (4 t's) and I've been offered my first proper gig for Feburary! And since I last used to mix, there's more sub genres now that I love, rawstyle , uptempo etc. Also love mixing my Industrial hardcore and old skool gabber stuff. But yeh, wanted to share my journey, as it was listening to this mix that inspired me all over again. Thank you. 💕

I hear you. I heard noise controllers - yellow minute recently, and haven’t heard it since around 2010. And the insanely nostalgic and somewhat sad(?) but also somewhat happy feeling I got was incredible and almost debilitating. It completely took the wind from me. All I could do was listen and process the thoughts. The memories of where I was at the time etc etc, basically a lot of what you said, flooding my mind and thinking about memories I hadn’t accessed and thought about in over a decade. Truly incredible experience. My life was all about the rave when I was younger, I dj’d, wrote tunes (still do), lived for the parties and sound, and still very much love the sound. I can’t believe how much your words resonate with me hey haha. Ahhh man, it’s teary eye shit hey, I can’t believe it’s been 20 something years since my first rave. I have kids now. Adult responsibility and so on. You really hit the nail on the head with your comments, we don’t realise til we get a bit older. I have some belting memories from raves and clubs here in Australia. Absolutely beautiful memories I’ll remember forever. Seeing this music live on big festival stages and not a care in the world. Wow

Since I wrote this original comment, I let the passion over take me, and I'm back to DJing (after that massive break from it) also learning to produce now as well... so yeh. @Herus Well I'm 18 and didn't start listening to hardstyle until 2 years ago, this was actually the very first hardstyle music I heard when a friend played this mix and i loved it. I mostly like these old tracks tho, the new hardstyle isn't the same. I grew up listening to what was playing on the radio or in the car so it was mostly mainstream EDM and hip hop so I never heard any of these tracks.

you might love this then Euphorichardstylez - Yearmix 2016 [HQ Mix] 59:16 Refuzion & Noiseshock - Another World and farwards are few really nice tracks but are so many good in this mix alone :). then you got this same mix Darren Styles - Save Me (Wasted Penguinz Remix) many with good vocals and awsome flip and my favo track Audiotricz & Atmozfears - What About Us and one after it so nice
