Oldie But Goodie? The Battle of Trams vs. Modern Transportation in Hong Kong

Subscribe to / @robloak
The Hong Kong Tram, in service for over a century, is one of the oldest tram systems globally. Despite the availability of other transportation modes like the subway and various forms of mass transit, the classic tram remains operational.
Not only is it environmentally friendly, but it also operates at low speeds with a minimal accident rate, making it ideal for elderly passengers.

Notice how Irene was pointing at the cameraman to turn the camera and show us something but i don't think the doofus was following. 😂

The tram must be retained, as it serves as attraction to HK tourists

The guy that wants to retire the system doesn't have a clue and is very short sighted. When you are transporting 200,000 people per day. That is making it profitable. Also all of the other reasons listed would make me choose the Tram over the subway any day. Imagine the draw for tourists who want to come there. I haven't been to Hong Kong since 1995. I should have tried riding them back then. If i ever go back. i will certainly make this one of the things i will do.
