My cat's heavier than that.

Got this for my 12 or 11th birthday, built it a day, about a week later I was putting it away the mouse droid dropped tried to pick up the mouse droid while holding the Death Star with one hand (stupid of me) so I dropped the Death Star, smashed pieces all over the floor, took the mini figures out and I still use the pieces to create my own stuff. Still hate that mouse droid though lol

I think my favourite thing about you're set reviews is that it show all of the hidden features of the sets that I wouldn't be interested in actually buying. Keep up the great work (also, as I do much custom work I really enjoy those videos as well)

I think it's kind of dumb they use stickers in a $300-400 set. For the price, they could've used prints. [In my opinion]

This is one of the coolest lego sets I've ever seen and one of the reasons why I love lego. It's so fun building these and there's so much detail in them. Hours of entertainments for any age.

that tie fighter is perfect, it's scaled to minifigures appropriately, it has a good piece consumption and the details match the movies decently

actually, where the tractor beam is, you can pull the lever out and the energy beam goes down. i have this set. thanks for the vid! you showed me some things i never knew.

So this is Death Star 1 & 2 combined lol. That is actually really cool.

In 2014, just a few weeks before Christmas, I found this set for 50% off at Target, however my parents told me they were going to sell it on ebay for $500, they lied and got if for me on Christmas. It also took a MONTH to build. I was nine. (This is my sister's YT account. I'm too lazy to change it)

The only way I would consider buying the new one in 2016 (I already have this one) is if they include an 'outer shell' made out of plates that wraps around the Death Star so it looks like the actual thing from the outside and it would open up to see the interior. It would also mean that the floor and walls wouldn't have to be light grey.

This one is definitely the crown jewel of my collection. It's just about the most definitive Star Wars set in my eyes. Also, 'ya forgot about the play feature of pulling the lever in the section with Obi Wan to remove the "energy" in the middle.

normally technic terror is across Lego models, but the mechanism for the dish is actually very pleasing to look at, in the way a coin press is interesting

Hello, I have the original set from 2008, and I love it. The only thing I want to say is that for the main elevator in the center, the string sits in one of the groove of the technic pin in the middle of the elevator and the tube fits around the pin and the string. It just makes the elevator level because I notice it is on an angle

The amount of thought and detail that went into this set--even though it's a bit rough looking--really makes me hope that someday, Hoth and Cloud City might get something as well-realized.

probably one of the most iconic lego sets to date. absolutely love this set.

In episode 4, when luke and lia were swinging across the big hole thing, (about 11 minutes into the video) they didn't use stunt doubls.

Thank you for a thorough, balanced and entirely watchable review. BTW in Australia this set retails $699 making it extremely expensive. Not really a child friendly price point. However a recent trip to USA yielded this set for this son & dad duo, just waiting for the birthday to hand it over. NICE!

One other thing though, on the tractor beam controls, you can pull out the middle leaver assembly to get the blue "tractor beam" to fall through and act like it is not transmitting anymore!

I like to take out the middle lever on the tracktor beam so that the blue energy part looks like it's shut of and dissiperars into the machine. it's is though slightly hard to get it back into position.

This is my favorite Lego channel. Very professional and informational. 😃

In my set, the smaller crank-operated elevator doesn't descend on its own without me having to help it with my finger, and even then it's a very bumpy and shaky descent. I think it's because of all the weight of the gray platform and supporting bricks pulling it down on just the one side. Really unfortunate.

In my set, none of the figures had pupils except for the Han Solo figures. Also, my Luke figures had a different face, with the same expression but the lines were a lot thinner. A bit of an older version I suppose.

This needs at least 6 more storm troopers, its the freaking death star it has more then 2. And maybe 2 more black troopers and one extra gray haired commander

You did miss 3 things there is a mouse droid hole were the mouse droid can go through at the big cannon room at the top and the table in the conference room can come off and you can put guns on there and at the tracker beam room one of the switches can be pulled out and the blue beam comes out

You forgot a couple of the smaller features in the deathstar (the table in the conference room can hold some weapons, and the tractor beam can be turned off) but it's still a amazing and awesome set!!

Yes it should have exterior panels that you can just put in and close it up! But the nightmare is not to build this but take it apart when you are moving to different place or different location in the house! I once had one of those fall on the floor and it was custom creation never to be rebuilt again

I play for University of hawaii Orchestra aka UH Music Orchestra. Its a College orchestra. Most kids thought i was going to play horrible because of my age, but im 2nd chair out of 8 cellos.

where the power grid is you can pull the bar just under it and the blue bricks fall down into the houseing and under the big round table you can store weapons under it
