His movies are go-to's. Greatest Korean actor I've seen, but then I've never watched a horrible Korean actor anyway. After The Chaser, I Saw the Devil, Oldboy, Bedeviled, which are all masterpieces, I'm deeply in love with Korean cinema right now. They're all just wow!

Just finished Oldboy and I’m speechless! What a brilliant movie. As for the twist I was kind of expecting something shocking like that. Two days ago I saw Incendies (2010) by Denis Villeneuve and most of the comments in its official trailer were comparing it to Oldboy.

@@JamesBond-hm3bw I did, but that story just didn't make any sense in my head, i know it's a movie and we should enjoy it but still, it was a such a curveball that it didn't make any sense, like more of a fantasy in my opinion rather than a shock, but the twist in Oldboy was done perfectly.

I have seen a lot of people in various groups and 98% people says they also got a huge shock at the last moment of this movie. you can search incendies movie's review,promo,trailer and read people's comment on the comment section and will get to know that most people also got a huge shock after finishing it.

@@JamesBond-hm3bw No i know, it definitely was a great movie, but the chances of a mother leaving her child son and then that son growing up to rape his mother to later get visited by his kids of his mother is such an insane out of this world idea, that it didn't add up in my head, but in Oldboy they wanted him to meet and sleep with his daughter, it was planned, that's why it made more sense.

"Even though I'm no worse than than the beast don't i have the right to live" That line hits harder than any punch from prime Mike Tyson

I loved this movie to the fullest since it was recommended to me by a friend and I decided to watch it then and there, without watching the trailer, reading the reviews etc. The only thing I knew about the movie was it's title and hence I didn't even know there was a plot twist so the main scene was like getting hit by a bullet train.
