Middle school, 2016-2019, never really realized how much free time I had to play Minecraft, skateboard, play music. Feels like I didn't utilize it well enough but I think really I utilized it just as I would and as felt best then. Now I'm almost done my first year of uni. I still play Minecraft, when I can, I've been sick the last few weeks so I've been able to play more than normal but it feels like the sand is falling on the window of my life when I could play this game to the fullest. My survival world is an island, half plains, half Savannah, but mostly inhabited the plains. Next to the island is a jungle island I built a moderate sized bridge too. I try to keep my builds minimalist, wholesome but still detailed. Like real buildings for real things. My mob farm is not this cobblestone monstrosity from the outside but wholesome, built of brick and glass and spruce. I do this with all my farms. My horse stable started merely with three stalls but grew to a complex as I became interested in breeding every breed and mix I could. I want to go home.

Minecraft will always be my favorite game. I had so many fun memories with my online friends there but sadly we’re all grown up now and haven’t talked for so long but that’s just life.

Whenever I hear this music I always end up questioning myself "Were those moments ever real?" because something so bewildering shouldn't exist. I should've realized back then that I was very lucky for what I had, but we all take things for granted.

I always look back to when me and my dad played minecraft together on the ps3, It was a saturday night and i was very thristy but i didnt feel like getting up to get a cup of water and instead got lots of mouthwash paper cups filled with water while i could hear this exact song while i was standing right next to the 2 story house we built, It was short lived my dad had to many things with work and he got motion sick from playing minecraft so things started to fade away while i grew older and older by now its 2017 the best year to be alive but not for my.... I was getting very sad but at this time i didnt care what people thought of me or how much people liked me, fast forward to 2023 my life is at an all time low and now i care what people think about me, I feel like my every move it being judged. constialy getting laughed at day by day. I just wish for the old times back... I dont wanna be scared. I just wanna go back home.

Hello, answering this one month old comment. I feel you, i too started to feel like everyone's watching me and trying to capitalize on the first mistake i made to judge me silently. To do so i've put on a mask:"everything is fine, i don't care what people think of me, i'm not envy of people with wealth or with spoling parents that buy them everything as soon as they ask". Now i'm doing better because i talked it out to my parents and to a therapist. It's normal to feel this way, it's a part of growing up. I've recently fell in love with warhammer 40k and there's a comic called "his angels" that truly sums up what i've felt and sometimes still feel today. Here's the quotes "we're not chosen because we're the fastest or the strongest [...] once again you're standing on the anvil, and it time to test your steel" "But be warned young one, that the mind is a sharp blade. It will never be the same because I'm not as young as I was... I didn't have a care in the World back then. Now I've got tons of responsibilities on my shoulders and can't put the same hours as I used to do. That flame will never be ignited again but I look back very fondly on these memories and wish I could turn back time and experience them again.

This video really hit deep into my heart. I can't even explain it. I miss those times. Makes me feel guilty I never took the chances I had to enjoy them.

This music reminds me a lot not only of Minecraft, but also of when I was a child playing Super Mario on my SNES... I remember a lot of those evenings with the window open and me sitting on the sofa in front of the TV to play Super Mario, that cool area that reached my face made me feel free and carefree, I always heard the noise that came out of the room that gave me life, while I was waiting for my mother who was at work, if I hadn't been raised by my grandparents these canonical events I would never have experienced them...

As time goes on, those years become seconds.

It still feeling like yesterday that i first played minecraft. I started playing since 1.7 and remember placing lava and tnt everywhere on a creative world. Almost 10 years that i play this game. Also when bedrock was super simple that only zombies could spawn. Or you had infinite amout of blocks in survival. I was playing on the demo version. And remember that you needed to buy the full game to get acces to other blocks or items like the suger cane. Good old times ❤

I regularly play older versions of minecraft for this feeling. The PS3 version is great, since it stopped updating between the aquatic update and the texture update. I also tried the 3DS version which was surprisingly solid for the handheld. They really help me go back in time.

I remember the old days with my brother in minecraft on an Xbox we had so much fun I remember when we bulit a base in the jungle and he had an iron golem and i had an army of dogs and the time i had a dirt wall over a village and a dirt tree house filled with spiders and when i had this world with and entire Rollercoaster with and elder guardian and every other mob and i had a castle with my brother filled with villagers and bats and also when i kept mistaking a parrot for a crow and when I whas flying over a village and pretending I was a dragon and with all these memories I just wanna say it doesn't matter if you first play a version like 1.19, 1.9 , classic or 1.14 the memories you make is what matters i first played minecraft in 1.13 and that was really fun so remember even you have a good memory playing minecraft whether its from a few months ago or a few years ago its you could still feel nostalgic.

I remember that when i was young i used to make dumb thingd like to put lava in a Island but now i just remeber back in time to the good old days

This shit hurts me, the fact i grew up playing this game to then turn into a horrible game hurts. The memories i made, the fun i had, the friends i made If there is one thing i want you to know is that dont be sad that the good old times are gone but rather be happy that they happened

I like old minecraft more cuz it was vibrant and colorful and simple (and nostalgic)

Despite not playing the older version I still feel nostalgia.

This made me cry,thank you the reminder of good time❤

You don’t miss it cause it was Minecraft, you miss it cause it was when you didn’t have responsibilities and you were free Everyone feels this , you miss the feeling of the past

I remember waking up at any day wanting to play this game on my Xbox 360 and PS3 everytime that I wanted to enjoy my time playing the old Minecraft it gives me the nostalgia of a lifetime…… Sometimes I wish we could go back to that exact time…

I started playing minecraft when it started and it was fun. Things change but we got to take it in as a phase in our life that passed but appreciate it.

Such good times we all had playing Minecraft. Some of us grew tired, busy or even grew up. I loved the game for years and always tried to find something new to do, but I realised that Minecraft doesn’t feel the same. From a simple Block Game to this monolith of a Game, 11 year old me probably wouldn’t have liked Minecraft as much. But hey, sometimes you’ve got to put things to rest. I loved Minecraft full heartedly, it gave me years of joy but I’ve grown up now. Even so, it still holds a place in my heart.

Randomly see this and all my lost maps that i spent for weeks to build came back in my head. I'm glad that my childhood used to play minecraft 😢😢❤

I played bedrock growing up, so I never heard these tracks as I played. I do remember the sound of sheep that echoed in a way that it sounded like it was in an open outside space. I felt like I was in a different world, and it felt like I escaped the causes of my current trauma and anxiety, even for just a few hours.

Those were much easier times. What i wouldn't give to stay in those times forever, being a child. Although my childhood didn't have minecraft, nor did it even need it.

I have minecraft on my xbox 360 still, Whenever i'm in the mood to revisit these memorys i instantly start crying as soon as the music starts playing.

I miss when everything was new to me in minecraft I wasn’t good at it everything was new and now I just know everything I’m now super good at the game 😢

This music reminds me of my minecraft frnd tht passed away due to cancer. I still remember all the good old hrs spent with him. The horse rides. The fishing. The building. The discoveries and laughs we did will nvr be forgotten.
