I'm going to start dancing again this year. I'm going to do what my grandmother always wanted me to do. And that's old style jingle my Grandmother always loved to watch old style jingle and in memory of her that's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm not dancing for money I'm dancing to have fun and enjoy myself.

I was raised from a small child in a jingle dress, I'm going to dance to day actually. But when i watch these videos i can help but let my feet fall in step with these women. This is a beautiful example of what Jingle Dress is about and how it is danced. I also love the apperication that the speaker has shown the Old Style dancers, because they are like he said often disrespected. Proud to be a native & proud to see goo skills

At my highschool in Canada Ontario, we have one day that the aboriginal students have a powwow in the gym of highschool. The cooking class makes bannock and wild rice soup for the powwow at lunch! Any students/ people are allowed, to show everyone our culture. We would let the “white” and other students in the crowd come up and try dance like us, we had one person represent every dance style. One jingle, one Shaw, etc... and they got a prize for whoever did it best. I really liked that. Some whites really show the interest. I wouldn’t be brave enough to go up in front of a bunch of people and dance a traditional style I didn’t know. Props to my town, my school , but most of all my country💕🇨🇦

Love the vid. The elder on the end, much respect! Made me tear up and don't know who she is but makes you wish you knew the older generation and their stories and their life. I was born to late, to be asking mine. Its just the cards that were dealt. Much respect to you all who have the knowledge, stories, life. :)

yes, now adays, the jingle dress is overly danced and dressed, if your going to dance fancy and dress fancy go to fancy dance. Maggie White bought this dance in to the circle for a reason, to dance and heal, not win and have the most fancest dress out there. The announcer hit it on the nail.
