i just took my initiate armor from quest and a bunch of prayer potions never even took damage doing the dragon defender

I seriously had no idea how to get a defender and i was so glad you explained in full detail considering how much time i wasted on osrs wiki yet still had no idea what they were saying. I'm at combat lvl80 and hav no idea if its good to go ahead with getting the defender now or should i at least make sure my combat is at lvl90+? pls reply. Very sorry my reply is so late...usually I get back within a day or two but had a lot going on recently D: You may have already done this because my reply is so late but I would say definitely have a go at getting a defender at level 80 combat! You will probably level up a little as you go for it, and as you find new defenders they will help with hitting more often and higher, thus increasing XP as you train too! If you find it a little bit slow you can always just come back for the defender another time, but I think you could get one at 80 combat without too much trouble :D

im combat 79 but i would reccomend to take on the rune animated armours even for lower levels like me , i smoke them with a whip and super set.

I’m confused, how many tokens do I need to go to the upstairs cyclops? I don’t have any defender at all, is there a certain number of tokens I need?

got bronze to rune in 3 hours 6 hours dry on dragon, on deadman mode

Can't you leave the room and than go back in before one minute to not use any tokens?

I just started going for defenders lasts night. I was averaging about 2.5 kills/min for 83 min and didn't even get the a bronze defender lol

I've used 2k tokens and bronze still hasn't dropped. what am I doing wrong

is stell defender even a thing? Took me 20 minutes to get bronze, about 15 for iron. I've been here for 1100 tokens after I got iron and still haven't got steel. Pretty sure they don't exist...

I did indeed receive the fabled steel defender. I fear I have come something to anger the RNGesus though. My friend had got 2 station defenders and I haven't gotten my first yet

That is some insanely bad luck... I got the bronze one with 100 tokens (10min in) and all the way to dragon with a total of 1700 tokens. My longest one was the black defender that ate up about 1000 tokens .. the rest took about 200-300

i havent done dragon slayer so can i still use the full rune plate on the dummy machine? for tokens?

Shaun McDonald you have to kill the cyclops and pick up the defender then talk to chick then she sets you up to next stage each time you get the defender you talk to her

i am on 4000 tokens just trying to get rune, its really annonying but ive leveled many times during my couple days here

I got addy def in two kills and bronze in 4 so I know there’s hope

Im on hour 12. I had a good run for bronze to rune but now I'm on a horrible dry run

I figured out how to get a defender in under 10 kills each time. it worked for me from myth to dragon. 1. Log out. 2. Close OSRS client. 3. Open client back up. 4. Before you log in, change to a different world. 5. Log in and enter the Cyclops area and defender should drop in under 10 kills. I don't know if this will work for everyone but just thought I'd share!

Atago Adventures Unfortunately you need an attack and strength level added together to total at least 130 to enter the Warriors Guild. E.G if you had 60 attack and 70 strength you could enter as your combined (non-boosted) attack and strength level is 130. As a rule of thumb, most people that have the requirements to enter the Warriors Guild shouldn't have trouble getting a rune defender. Killing animated armour and Cyclops is easy enough.

can also use minigame tp to burthorpe

Gread guide. Didnt take long to get dragon defender from no defender about 2-3 hours.

+Mister Yig Personally I would aim to collect 2.5k tokens and give that a go. Really comes down to luck of the drops, I have achieved Bronze > Dragon in 1500 tokens on my Ironman but that is just luck :P All the best with it! Let me know how you get on :)

Yep you sure can - just keep killing the Dragon defender dropping cyclops and they will keep dropping them, likewise for the cyclops you got your Rune defender from.

+BAMFlegendz Sorry for the late reply! Yeah melee void would be great gear, especially if you can prayer flick or afford prayer pots. Only downfall of melee void is it will have low defence against melee but you can always give it a go anyway, just bring a bit of food :)

Lol I'm level 84 and the Rune armor is not powerful at all. It's all dependent on how strong your setup is.

in the description to gloves you need to add void ones

update: still no defender lol made a bit more money and only total xp at 3.55 mil. but i started under 3. I would much rather be making the money and levels through slayer though..

Fast trick guys: To get defender take 150 tokens or so, enter kill a cyclope next to the door, come out and re-enter. You spend no tokens and you can kill up to 2 before 1 minute goes by. Good luck
