We got hammered because of the rap and because of the tenor melody in the party to Barbara Ann. It just went on too long. I believe we were seventh in that round. We got such a late start on it in the third week of May. Luckily we stayed in the medals, But it did kind of set for us the path that we were going to seeing straight old school barbershop which was missing at the time. Definitely not our finest singing, But we got some great responses

Great performance, but I think I could’ve gone the rest of my life without hearing Joe Connelly rapping lol

This performance is 100% why Rick Taylor is my favorite singer in the BHS history. Nobody does it like him. Easily the most entertaining performer on a stage ever :)

Yes. I think they must have gotten heavily penalized for the “rap” section. 🙄

Actually we were second going into the finals because we won the first round. But the second round I believe we were eighth and the third round we were seventh for an overall fifth. It wasn’t just this last round although the penalties didn’t help

Yeah, I miss singing the old stuff that was true barbershop and I wish you bring the old logo back too and call the society society for the preservation and encouragement of barbershop quartet in America Incorporated that’s a way it it shouldn’t be for outlines of peoples heads and singing. I’ll tell you what I was hurt when they changed it. to the new name and to the new logo and then they try to sweep it on the rugs. They all we’re still the society for the preservation encouragement of barbershop quartet singing in America, Incorporated, but we’re just shortening the name to barbershop Harmony Society, and changing the logo, I believe that was a third logo, I could be wrong. I probably am since barbershop started
